6 times in LSU baseball history where LSU has fought through the Regional losers bracket and advanced. LSU has won the deciding game and advanced every time they’ve made the championship round and won the first game to force a winner take all.
1989 LSU defeats Texas A&M 13-5, 5-4
1990 LSU defeats Southern Cal 5-4, 7-6
1997 LSU defeats South Alabama 14-5, 15-4
1999 LSU defeats East Carolina 12-10, 9-0
2002 LSU defeats Louisiana-Lafayette 12-2, 12-2
2021 LSU defeats Oregon 4-1, 9-8

Houston and Souther Miss both beat us in winner takes all games in regionals. The caveat is that THEY forced the winner takes all games in both instances.
I wonder what the stats are overall of who wins the winner takes all games in regionals most often? The team that forces it or the team that gets forced into it?

LSU plays hungry out the loser's bracket, and our bats are hot.
