Should the win/loss to us count in these things? Or does it depend on the forced narrative?

Depends on the narrative. All I know is LSU is 8-3...good chance to go 10-3 in a year nobody predicted a west title. I'll take it and hopefully we keep building/getting better.

We hired a coach with one of the worst all-time head coaching records in the SEC and are 8-3 and are looking at a 9 or 10 win season. I'm not complaining.

New OC with new offense. Injuries on both lines. Lots of young players on both sides of the ball getting significant playing time. I would say we have vastly improved since Troy. I

It’s amusing how many of you said we won’t win an sec game but now it’s look how bad our schedule is. Give the coaches and team some credit for turning it around bc after Troy every team on our schedule looked better than LSU.

Is what it is but at the same time identifies a major deficiency.

Inexperience is a factor, or as an excuse as the O-sycophant hunters would say, that at this time of year (and of course going forward) that is now a non-factor. We'll see if that particular issue has been fixed later.

The other factors, it's a work in progress. The only real measuring tape will be the bowl game, barring a loss to TAMU.

Nobody predicted there would be the massive meltdown of the entire SEC including Bama.

Let’s just face it, the SEC is down this year and all of the firings prove it to be so.
List of vacant/potentially vacant positions:
UF
UT
Ole Miss
Arky (likely)
Four of our opponents. 4.

And we will be stuck for another year with this inadequate staff and win some games against bad run defenses while the other teams rebuild only to have Alleva.the moron, make a final screwing to LSU by giving him a raise and extension. LSU will be screwed for the next 10 years because everyone else hired a better coach by a mile.

Bama is number 1 and auburn and Georgia in top 8. With State and LSU that’s 5 in top 20. LSU doesn’t lose to Troy they could be top 10.

Until AU gets them.
Who has Bama beat?
Who has UGA beat?

This is overinflation of the league by the media because we’ve been good for so long.
I watch a ton of games because I have that luxury being retired and can tell you that there are leagues with teams both north and west that will clean the clock of both of those teams. Bama wants nothing to do with some of these. They’ll play them alright, but without linebackers Bama is screwed. The ONLY, I REPEAT ONLY, way Bama wins this is if they put them in to the playoffs and their backers heal in December. That’s it.

If Wisky handles their business, they are in as would Miami and OU.
That would leave 1 team from the SEC. if they don’t beat AU in that scenario, it would be the SEC champion.
If UGA loses that game it would be AU as a 2 Loss team.

So 3 SEC teams in TOP 10. 5 in TOP 20.

Bama is #1. So are you saying all of CFB is in a meltdown?

The fact that LSU has not experienced the level of drop off of all these other programs should actually be a positive.

I don’t understand why people are saying this. Look at the 5th year seniors and other that are leaving.
Drugs/suspensions for lack of grades took out a couple of them early in the year and that is a discipline issue.
All those defections in the off season was he problem including a starting olinemen.
That’s all on O.

I'm confused. All you No-O's said Auburn sucked because LSU beat them and now ya'll are saying they are great and LSU was lucky. Face it O and LSU are better than you ever thought and you will just have to hope LSU loses so your O hatred will be fulfilled by O getting fired. A real LSU fan would realize whether you like it or not O is LSU's coach and you should shut the Hell up and hope that LSU continues to get better and beats Bama and wins thew championship.

Wait, Alabama has had a “massive meltdown”? I must have missed something.

Saban always preached against the catastrophe syndrome of LSU fans. Seems we are now spreading it to our perceptions of other teams.
