LSU Football
@LSUfootball
We honor the life of George Floyd

Tiger Stadium was lit on Monday night in Floyd’s high school colors, Crimson and Gold.

Floyd shouldn't be dead right now, but honoring a criminal who did some pretty dispicable things in his life has really jumped the shark

This is very disappointing and reeks of virtue signaling and trying to out-do other schools/people.

Who are you too judge? We are all sinners. Get off your high horse “Dr”. You’re no better than anyone else. Every time some shite happens to a black guy, “he was a criminal”. Shut the hell up

1. Floyd was killed in handcuffs and should not have been. It was a despicable act by a POS cop. It opened a lot of people's eyes to police brutality and systemic racism and hopefully becomes a catalyst for positive change in our country.

2. Floyd was, himself, a terrible member of society who had been arrested and convicted of violent crimes and drug dealing controlled substances. He home invaded an old woman to rob her at gun point.

3. These two things can co-exist. People who can't understand that can't breathe through their nose.

LSU should support the movement in other ways besides focusing on George Floyd.

At this point I suppose it is just a competition to see who can "out pander" each other.

Did he have any affiliation with LSU, LSU football or even the state of Louisiana?

Come on man. Getting caught using a counterfeit bill doesn’t carry a death sentence.

I never said they couldn’t...LSU still shouldn’t be honoring someone like Floyd. They wanna honor Breonna Taylor or one of the others to highlight the issue? I’m fine with that. A multiple convicted felon? No.

Oh I agree. I thought you were telling that guy he was trying to get internet points by saying they shouldn't do this. I misread.
