IF a dynamic #1 running back comes to light

I actually don’t even think this is a necessity.

I’ve compared this group to the 2011 backfield before, and even the 03 group, and I think that we have a stable of backs with a lot of different strengths that they all offer. Freshmen taking on big roles in our backfield is nothing new in Baton Rouge either.

If Burrow is what we think he is, and E can design an effective and balanced attack to pair with Aranda’s defense, there really is nothing stopping us from a 10-2 year and first NY6 Bowl. At least

Sugar bowl or fiesta bowl is what I’m really hoping for of course if we don’t run the table. A sugar bowl or fiesta win would be BIG. it’s been too long since we’ve even played in a NY6 bowl

Until O inevitably decides he's more qualified to run the offense than Ensminger.

LSU should beat all the non-conference opponents and conference foe Ole Miss. However, I remember the Troy game in 2017. We should lose to UA, Ga, Au, & Miami. Toss up games are Florida, Miss St, Arkansas, & A&M. Best record would be 8-4, although I think we will lose a toss up game which will give us 7-5 record.

Is the bet that anything but 12-0 you stop posting?

Our OL looks like it’s going to be the weak link.
A few people on here "Get It."

ALL areas of the team are close to where they need to be to challenge the Red Devils for the SEC West.

OL isn't.

It isn't anywhere close in talent to the required SEC West Championship/Overtake Bama level.

A few cheerleader MA's on here think it is. They'll get a harsh dose of reality come mid-late October.

Based on what? I don’t understand why everyone keeps saying this.

Mostly their status as a recruit. We do have what appears to be some legit studs at WR. Giles, Marshall, Chase, Davis, Sullivan, Jefferson. We just have never had anyone that can get them the ball consistently. Hopefully Burrow turns out to be that guy.

Charles will be great
Brumfield should be good
Ingram will be good

C and RT are the unknowns. Either Traore, Magee, or Deculus for RT. With Traore you get some experience but his footwork looks bad. With Magee you basically have a guard playing tackle. Deculus needs a lot of work on technique but is a physical specimen.

At center you have Damien Lewis and Cushenberry basically. If you put Damien Lewis there you get an extremely physical guard with some JUCO experience. Cushenberry has been in the program longer and has been working at center for some time.

If center and RT get fixed, I don't see a real weakness on OL. They have depth, they have prototypical bodies, and there's quality experience throughout.

Dillon, Anderson, Sullivan, and Davis are pretty much established. We know they're all average to good WRs. Davis has the most potential out of that bunch.

Then there's Giles, and we know that he's solid from his TTU tape.

There's the relatively unknowns like McMath and Jefferson.

And lastly, the freshman duo of Terrace Marshall and Jamarr Chase who both look like they can see early playing time.

Based on physical ability alone, that group of guys should produce quality WR play. Young guys like Jefferson and Chase may emerge very early because of their hands and route running. I also expect guys like Dillon and Drake Davis to make massive jumps this season and have a much better chance to in an Ensminger offense than they would have in Canada's.

I love the direction the football program seems to be going right now. Yes, schedule is tough. The rest of the Conference has also gotten better though.

Then a win in the bowl game would cap off a great season with momentum going forward and another top 5 recruiting class.

That's a pretty big friggin' if. Cushenberry was garbage in the Spring Game. Traore and Magee were revolving doors. There was at least one DL in the backfield on every play, and they were often pulling up before the QB threw.

I don’t think people fully realize the strength of schedule, does any other team play four opponents in the top 11.

That schedule is set up to be GOLD for us if we're better than critics think. As long as LSU wins that schedule puts us in the playoffs without questions.

I think we go 10-2. Before Burrow I figured 8-4.

Just winning the SEC would put us in the playoffs, so why play a hard one? Duh...
