I know these are big ifs. But, IF a capabale quarterback emerges that performs up to their potential and IF a dynamic #1 running back comes to light, these coupled with a good defense coming back and one of the most talented wide reciever corps in the country what would y’all baws think would hold us back? Aside from the orgeron, I think Ensminger is often overlooked as being a vital part of effective play calling. I for one am optimistic for the season as I am every year. What do y’all think?

Defense is there..need good QB and find a RB. Hoping Burrow is the answer, schedule is nasty.

The schedule is brutal. I hope we go 12-0 but I think 9-3 is probably the ceiling if everything you stated in your OP comes to fruition. I think 7-5 or 8-4 is more likely.

I'm looking for 11 & 1 and an appearance in the SEC Championship. I will accept 10 & 2 so long as I don't see any stupid arse blunders. If I see a 3rd loss anywhere along the way, I'll be bitching.

I feel the same way. With the talent the offense has and the Defense being nasty no excuse to lose three games

9-3 sounds right to me.

Losses to AU, UGA, and UA

Getting UA and UGA at home could change things, though.

Defense should be good enough to keep LSU in every game. Having Burrow and a loaded receiver corps should put pressure on every defense they face.

We are going to be underdogs in at least 4 games - Miami, Auburn, UGA, Bama. Possibly MS State and A&M too.

Our OL looks like it’s going to be the weak link. Also, every other team in the SEC has a coach with a better resume than O, so there’s that.

Thanks for the useful insight.

BTW, It had more to do with peoples thoughts on Ensminger and his competency of being a successful play caller.

Miami and Miss St don't scare me this year.

Miami is weak on both OL and interior DL. They're hyping up their skill positions and that's about it.

Moo St should field a solid team but last year's debacle was more about LSU playing awfully with a depleted team and Miss St playing to their peak than Miss St eclipsing LSU in the SECw.

Our WR talent is soo stacked that our spring game that didn't impress at QB had 500 passing yards because of WR play making.

I've seen you post this before, but please refresh my memory. You're saying that if LSU doesn't finish the regular season undefeated, you'll stop posting?

I admire the optimism Cliff, but you might want to reconsider these ban bets you're so eager to make. There's no way in hell this team, any team, under the guidance of ed orgeron is going through a season undefeated.

Based on what? I don’t understand why everyone keeps saying this.
