I do not see Daniels getting much better either. He jas a very limited grasp of the game based on watching him in games. His stats are misleading at best. He inhibits the offense significantly because he cannot threaten the defense deep. These chickens will come home to roost if he starts next year.

Well, if it is 5 next year, then the rant should become as entertaining as it has ever been outside of the early, unfettered years. This team has to have a legit offense to compete.

"there are people here who have hated JD from day one. Many of the were Brennan fans who feel like JD was the reason Brennan left even though it was Brennan’s fault he showed up 35 pounds overweight."

I don't believe anyone hates the young man. Fans liked Brennan because he would sling the ball and throw receivers open. If Daniel's would have been able to pass the ball down field from the very beginning I don't think Brennan, Howard, or Nussmier would of even been mentioned. I could careles who the QB is if they are able to move the chains throwing down field. I believe JD can make a good jump and be extremely good! He just needs to trust his receivers and he will have a special year. If he can't do that then put someone in that can. I believe that's all anyone on here wants regardless of who is QB.

Kind of like trusting him during the first few games when disorganization was the standard. Never won a NC at ND and wont win a NC here. He wasnt even close to .500 versus top 25 teams at ND.

Daniels was the most sacked QB in the SEC in 2022. Joe Burrow was the most sacked QB in the SEC in 2019. And the most sacked in the NFL in 2021.

JD exceeded Burrows 2019 sack total by 33% with 50% less yards and TDs… this comparison is not even in the same universe.

Totally agree with this, the majority of the complaints and desire for another QB is based upon watching him being deficient in areas that limit the full utilization of talent and.potential of the offense. Some try to spin the criticism as hate and that is not true.

Well he is the head coach of a team that in the 13th game of the season let a blocked field goal sit on the field for like 5 seconds while the kicking team walked off and the defensive team picked up and ran for a touchdown so I'm gonna have a few reservations.

Good point. It sucked! If we have another season of special team blunders like this year, it may cost LSU big time! And I say that as a BK fan.

Totally agree. My point was measuring a QB's effectiveness based on how many times he's sacked isn't much of a metric.

You are right BBA Tiger. Let the coaches make the decisions; it is obviously in their best interests to play the best player.

Les Miles, Saban, or Orgeron won a national championship before they came to LSU. Lol. Look what they did when they had the talent around them.

I agree to some extent until you’re behind by almost 30, then it is imperative you get chunk plays pushing the ball downfield( not JD’s forte ). So, the way you move the ball in that situation does make a difference. You hope to not be in that situation, but if you are. your QB has to have the willingness to take shots downfield, you can’t go on long drives.

6th in yards and the QBs behind him were beyond pathetic. Also, he was terrible in yards per attempt and yards per completion. Make that Burrow comparison, please.

JD also held onto the ball longer than any other QB in the SEC. The narrative that he had a bad o-line is a fallacy
