You don't understand the dynamics. Yes LSU has money and big pocket boosters, donors, and businesses that support LSU.

The difference now is LSU is the only SEC team with a WOKE President.

Those donations and NIL payments aren't going to be flowing very well just yet.

The frick does the president have to do with under the table payments to recruits. You think they’ve actually made those payments before just to “run it by the prez” to see if it’s okay? GTFO

The meaning is LSU donations are already down due to this hiring. Many supporters are not happy about it, and the loss of support may extend to NIL. It's just a fact.

Its not an answer, you didn’t pose a real question. It’s you who doesn’t understand the scope of the NIL or what it is. You can’t even define your own argument. You want something to be true but can’t make an argument to support it so you’re trying to play gotcha with the opposing positions.

The Jacoby Matthews decommitment sucks. All eyes point to A&M throwing down some serious money for his commitment.

Not sure it had anything to do with NIL. Just 2 days before Orgeron was talking about how stacked we are at safety, which is kinda true.

NIL question isn't about total money available, but about how much will there is to spend the money. It's a bit of wild-wild-west right now, but going prices will eventually prevail.

Still, LSU has a women's gymnast whose NIL is in the top of all athletes in the country.

LSU is going to be fine. LSU boosters will certainly be able to pony up those prevailing prices.

JMHO.

I think he still signs with LSU. NIL will work itself out in BTR.

If you understood the scope you could put a number on it

But you don’t understand it at all lol

NIL will create some oddities. One super wealthy alumnus who loves his college's football program will make a huge difference.

I think it will be a shite show for a few years and then settle down.

You keep using vague, undefined terms because you have no idea what you’re talking about. You don’t explain or expand on them because they’re a deflection tactic. It’s ironic you use “scope” when you don’t seem to even understand the NIL on a basic level and your narrow view of it doesn’t even go past a year or two. This is the typical go to pattern for you when you realize your argument is nonsensical. You deflect and turn to personal attacks.

I haven’t personally attacked you once & nothing I am asking is vague or “gotcha word play”.

I’m directly asking you to put a number figure a top 5 program is set to earn collectively

And you can’t. Or won’t, for whatever reason.

You have but whatever and you’re doing it now. First off your question doesn’t explain your position or make any sense. The NIL is more about advertisers paying players not programs themselves paying them and there is no set amount. Like I said you’re not making sense or you’re not articulating what your position is clearly. Your argument may have merit but you’re not actually making one so how can anyone know if it does or not?

We should not have a victim mentality about this. We should, and I'm sure we will, find a way to use it to our advantage. The 1st thing we need to do is identify aTm's top three recruits and throw $$$$$ at them. Within the rules of course.

And you’re scared to explain yourself other than saying dumb things like LSUs boosters can match corporate monopoly spending or these kind of deals have already been happening. Your question doesn’t even make sense so I’ll give an equally nonsensical answer. Uga will spend 85 million on NIL deals they’re not even allowed to make next season. Happy now?

My question to you is direct & easy to understand

It’s not unclear at all but you’ve proven my point and exposed yourself enough for me to not waste anymore time with this.

There is a lot of silliness in this thread and the doomsayers who predict that LSU doesn’t have enough wealthy donors to survive in the NIL environment.
Nobody knows.
And it’s not just a question of wealth or Harvard, Yale and Stanford would form a conference and decide if anyone else could play.
Thorny made a good point about whether donors had the “will” to fund NIL.
That will play a big role.
Those schools which are smart and creative will do well.
That’s why I hope Woodward, not Orgeron, is on this.
