We all as LSU fans want what’s best for LSU and the football program.
I’m pretty sure that’s all OP is saying.

You guys that take the approach of getting personal on what’s best for an individual player vs what’s best for the team are just weird.
It appears you’re trying way too hard to be something different.

I agree 100% with op.
Root for LSU and what’s best for the whole.

This is the result of politics being involved in sports.

On the surface it would seem about just protecting career and money, but a lot of people have this whole deeper lebron james things going on where you have these evil "owners" versus the players and that's why people cant have a discussion about this.

To some people the players represent people that the world is out to get somehow and that's why they shouldn't play. Anyone who thinks they should finish with the team is then categorized as the world that doesnt care about them.

Just the landscape of today.

Yeah I want him to play for reasons that I think will ultimately benefit myself as an LSU fan who wants to be happy because LSU won a football game

But I do realize This is somewhat selfish of me and these are my priorities which is why I’m not gonna get mad at the kid

This. I'm in no way "happy" that Greedy is sitting. I love watching the guy play and selfishly want him to play in the bowl game and lead us to a win. But it's pathetic to knock him for doing what he thinks is best for him, his young daughter and the rest of his family that is presumably depending on him. I was going to say I don't understand why this is still a topic of discussion but then I remembered what site I'm posting on.

And as I said in an prior thread... these people forfeit their rights to bitch about the progress of the program.

This game changes nothing about what happened this season.

LSU fans feeling one way or another doesn’t change the outcome of anything. Who gives a shite.

Likewise, if they get injured playing in a glorified exhibition game, that costs them their NFL career just so you can have your jollies for a few hours January 1st, I'm sure they won't see a dime of your money either!!!

Right

Ultimately I would Sacrifice a lot to see LSU win, but idk if I’d sacrifice millions for LSU to win the Fiesta Bowl.

Knew you’d come a running.
My simple mindedness tipped me off.

Takes one to know one I suppose.

Here is the problem... You are so selfish that you would rather greedy risk injury and millions just to hope LSU wins a bowl game.... I love LSU and want them to win every game... But as usual you are behind the times and don't care if he plays and takes a chance getting a serious injury just to please YOU...........

BTW how did you feel when LF7 sat out the bowl??????????

Agreed. Today’s college football is about me me me. The players (a majority at least) don’t give a shite about anything but themselves. I remember when players like Bo Jackson, Dalton Hilliard, Eric Hill, Wendell Davis, Tim Brown, Payton Manning, and Kevin Faulk were playing for the love for the game...all with nice paychecks waiting in Professional sports. Now, college football as a whole is a shadow of what it used to be. It’s no longer as fun or “pure”.

OK... CFB was much better back then.......

BUT MILLIONS were not on the table right away like today.....

I disagree with this.... Look at the ratio of how many players get drafted in the 1st two rounds compared to how many players actually play......

For the special players I have zero problems with them leaving early or skipping bowl games....

I don't think anyone is happy that they are leaving, but we can and should respect their decision.

NFL athletes provide good publicity for the school, and sometimes help persuade recruits to become a tiger. So yes, they are directly helping the school which then makes our football team better.

They also invest time/money to help local communities in LA.

That's a strange thing to say. This game is part of what happens this season...one of the biggest parts.
