So do I get a kickback or financial award if I’m UNHAPPY about players leaving early? Do I get a plaque with my name on it? Will more fans recognize me? Will my status as a fan be boosted? Could you show me ANY of the above THAT YOU HAVE by taking your “players should play bowl games” stance?

Didn’t think so...therefore, STFU.

Ok but same to you

I don’t really care if he plays or not.
Not point of the thread.

The point is that this thread is that you shouldn’t care more about players than winning the Fiesta Bowl

So you are saying we will lose just because he is not playing????

That's a sad looking future for LSU if you are saying this. They should beat UCF with all second string..........

Couple things you should understand:

1) You won’t be getting any kickbacks or financial rewards of any sort from players leaving.

2) there are no awards or plaques with your name inscribed on them being handed out should you take this stance. Nobody will recognize you. It doesn’t boost your status as a fan.

Wow, I was not aware of this. Your insight and intellect are overpowering. I am not sure where I would be without you to educate me. Can you start a thread of the day so that you can shine the light of your knowledge on all fans?

I enjoy watching LSU play football, no matter who is on the field or who is coaching. I have my preferences, yes, but they do not make or break me. I suggest you invest a little less in this.

I’m saying is we don’t have us get a chance without him playing because we are down to our second string we’re down to our third string

Players going early into the draft is a huge recruiting boon. A lot of these 4* and 5* guys that can make an immediate impact, like the idea of the possibility of stepping straight in to fill the shoes of a guy like Greedy or Devin.

Guys who grade as late draft picks though... I've always held a stance that they should return and develop. But each to their own.

From your own OP...

The best players available playing obv gives LSU best chance wn games and that’s all we should care about.

This is just dumb.

We all as LSU fans want what’s best for LSU and the football program.
I’m pretty sure that’s all OP is saying.

You guys that take the approach of getting personal on what’s best for an individual player vs what’s best for the team are just weird.
It appears you’re trying way too hard to be something different.

I agree 100% with op.
Root for LSU and what’s best for the whole.

I’d like to see the schools be able to step in and sponsor insurance policies somehow based on where it is believed the player will be drafted. Obviously that’s complicated to figure out at the time of bowl games. But I think something of the sort could cut down on this becoming an epidemic if they could start to look at something like that. Stay with the team, you’re covered. Leave the team, it’s on you. Hope you don’t tear ur knee up during combine prep.

The ncaa needs to be proactive in however they mitigate this. Don’t kid yourselves, it’s only going to become more and more popular. It’s only a matter of time before kids in playoff games sit out.

When you become a truly elite fan like me you get to participate in the secret LSU player profit sharing plan. That’s why I’m pissed about Kyle Williams retiring, my portfolio is going down $11.61 a month. I’m counting on Greedy making that up.

I don't think that having a basic understanding of why players leave early or sit out bowl games and thus not wailing and gnashing one's teeth at it makes one "happy" about it. But from your post history you seem like a pretty simple-minded fellow so I can see how you'd see it that way.

Yeah I want him to play for reasons that I think will ultimately benefit myself as an LSU fan who wants to be happy because LSU won a football game

But I do realize This is somewhat selfish of me and these are my priorities which is why I’m not gonna get mad at the kid
