If we are honest, we do not have that defense talent that we need to win football games. There is no honey badger or Laron Laundry or All American defense tackle.

Also, we never beat Alabama unless we have the better quarterback on the field.

I don’t know where we go from here. All you can do is keep recruiting. Keep working. Try to move forward.

I just wish we had the head coach that we all knew was going to be the next legend for many years. Kelly is 4th quarter of his career

Looks like modern football is beyond his ability to coach with a drop back QB

Has the culture of winning left LSU?

If you think about it until Nick Saban came along, LSU was a very mediocre program at Best

It always had a lot of passion and was always hungry to win, but we never really could on a consistent basis and we went through a bunch of coaches.

The last 24 years have brought a lot of joy three national titles played for four should’ve won for two Heisman’s and a stockpile of NFL talent.

I’m just so tired of losing the Alabama Alabama particularly at home. Getting your arse kicked is really painful

It shouldn’t happen

And because it did, the players and coaches have to win the fans back I don’t know if they can.

No playoffs

Now we’re already checked out as a fanbase

SEC is only for the strong

We’re lacking energy in the program

LSU has the 2nd largest NIL endowment in the country.

How do we not have better DBs, DL etc etc?

A GOOD coach can get much more out of much less than we have, Jimmy's and Joe's is no excuse

Whose fault is that? Kelly himself said to judge him in year 3 . Well it’s year 3!!

Baker has gotten more out of some of our defensive guys. But I think Burns and Ryan are beyond saving. To put it bluntly, they suck. They suck at pass coverage, they suck at run coverage, they suck at identifying if it is a run or a pass, they suck at tackling, they suck at literally everything you need to be good at.

We have one of the easiest roads to rebuilding a roster out of any program in the country.

1. LA. We have some of the best athletes in the country, a lot of whom want to stay home.

2. We have a current history of being an elite program. Not like a nd who has to point at success from 4 decades ago.

I'm not sure why people think a turnaround has to be a 10 year job. Especially in the NIL / transfer portal era. We should be competing at an elite level. I personally don't think there's any excuses that are valid.

Coach speak after a game like this is

"we care more about standards than a damn playoff"

Like this?

Some thing is not clicking with Kelly.

When your starting linebacker and starting safety each make one tackle
- that’s a problem.
Greg penn loafed towards a running back in the second quarter that was in his general position.
Somebody else had to come make the tackle.
Saw it with my own two eyes

I’m not saying you’re wrong l, but I don’t think any team is stacked like they used to be. I mean, I used to be able to name almost every starter on a team like Alabama and Georgia etc etc because almost all those MFers were going pro. Now that’s not the case. Their team is good but no where near as good as past teams we’ve faced. Our talent should be good enough to be competitive at the very least. What we watched last night was an abomination.

Maybe 6 draftable that have seen significant time, none are top 5 at their position.

Sure, Campbell might go higher on potential, but not showing it on the field

Losing to USC was a bad loss, beating OM was unlikely

Kelly can and I think will win a NC if he completes his contract, but last night was well beyond embarrassing fans. The entire staff, program, and CFB community (respected coaches and media) truly can appreciate the enormity of failure that took place.

There’s always a tendency to overreact to these things win or lose, but no way to sugarcoat what was put on film to those who really know the game in every aspect.

The problems in the 80s and 90s were keeping the best LA players. We are doing that much better since Saban.

Yes. I don’t know what the fix is. But I notice with Kelly more than any coach we have had since Saban that he does not inspire confidence or passion in the fan base. Likely the same effect on players
