Geez...it will take 1 day to hang freakin plaques FFS

What is wrong with you guys, it's basically complete! with time to spare even though weather has been crazy wet.

It probably takes more than one day. I said it would be done in time so I don't even know what point you're trying to make. But not being finished with 12 days until the opener is pretty much the definition of cutting it close.

After finally seeing this in person, it looks cheesier than in the drawings.

The concrete color of the columns is slightly off from the color of the newer West side expansion which is off of the color of the actual stadium. The three different colors makes that side of the stadium even cheaper than it was before.

And I was never a fan of the 6 flags like arches in the drawings and they look just as stupid in real life. Love the North side stadium additions but they have bastardized the West side of the stadium beyond recognition.

The tiger habitat looks nice, on the other hand the stadium looks like shite, then do they really need to put some old fart's name on everything. Can't people donate to the school, and not have their name plastered all over everything??????

Well you sure got me confused with both of the comments you made to this point.

NOT arguing, but finishing a week ahead of time with as much bad weather as they have had is tremendous and should be applauded....even though the rant thinks they know how commercial construction projects work....

LSU was able to keep the revenue generating events, re-sod the field, and complete the construction on time....and you have issue with that somehow?

Good day sir

Not a fan for the huge "Scotty Moran" sign. I understand he probably funded most, if not all of the the plaza construction, but just give him a plaque right on the gate or something

The Haynesville Shale has been kind to the Morans I believe.

The project wasn't really that big. They should have finished awhile back. Have they even started installing the tiger stadium marquee on top of the stadium club? I doubt it. They'll likely get done, but they don't really deserve praise.

It looks cheap and half-arse done, just like the rest of the West side addition.
If that wasn't bad enough, it's got the names of donors all over it, some of whom probably never went to LSU.

Of course not..they did everything they needed to do and on time but we shouldn't be proud...

Everyone knows they could do better..

Can't you guys just say good job LSU for once in your complaining lives?

Write this down on a piece of paper....off season revenues/contracts sustained, field sod complete, MAJOR construction/upgrades done...all on time and budget....

Read it ten times..it will help you be thankful for their efforts.

DOn't forget, weather took away a tremendous amount of days unaccounted for in the original plans (they add in expected delays due to weather)

Correct. I didn't make the connection with the name Moran until you said this. Not sure if true or not but I've read that Moran gives 10% of his royalties to LSU.

Moran Oil is responsible for these on I-49 near Frierson, south of Shreveport.

Anybody know when they plan on etching the concrete and put in new windows over the east and west side dorms? The small portion they did looks nice. This may be the thing that somewhat unifies tiger stadium color and theme.

Wow. Scotty Moran is the guy that made $500 million from Gas Minerals in the Haynesville Shale. He is the guy that put the LSU sign on the side of I-49 south of Shreveport.
