I'm all for big donors having their names on things for their substantial contributions to our athletic department. If you look at schools around the country like Oregon and OSU, you realize that money factors into success. If Moran has a lot of it, is a devout LSU fan, and donates substantially to LSU, hell, reward the guy with his name on an area of the stadium. You think OSU fans are complaining about their stadium name having Boone Pickens in it? Hell no, their success is closely tied to his contributions.

Why not just make a big plaque or tribute xxxx for Moran at the site? Dont like an actual name on it

I think they're actually mounting the letters in that center concrete column that spans the upper deck. I walked by today after class, and there are some sort of steel hangar things up there.

Scotty Moran paid for the turf in the practice facility as well. Dude is a major donor. I don't think his name should be spread across the entrance looks like shite.
