Youre an idiot. As usual

You're upset it took him 6 months to be back at full speed drills from a surgery that doesn't even allow weight on the leg for 8 weeks. Don't you think "3 months for Meemaw Gertrude, 6 months for an NFL top 10 draft pick" is a reasonable timeline?

ETA: LOL WAIT. I googled the study you pulled that quote from. Check the results:

quote:

While 2 of 28 (7.1%) players never returned to the NFL, 26 (92.9%) athletes returned to competition at a median of 11.1 (interquartile range [IQR], 10.3-12.5) months from time of injury and missed a median of 8.5 (IQR, 6.3-13.0) regular-season games.

The usual recovery for an NFL player is 11 months you frickin goober

Conclusion: More than 90% of NFL athletes who sustained Lisfranc injuries returned to play in the NFL. Offensive players showed greater decline in statistical outputs than defensive players, who experienced a decrease in performance after return from injury that did not reach statistical significance compared with their respective control groups over a similar time period.

Post the other parts of that article jackass.

You mean to tell me that 90% of players that sustained this injury came back and ended up playing in the nfl again? Wow what a shocker. Obviously they'll come back and play, but to say that he should have been healed within a few months is just dumb. Travis Etienne had the same surgery in the NFL preseason, and he was out for the whole year...

How long until his dad goes on the radio saying that the scouts or nfl fans are too mean?

I think people would look at him more fondly had his dad not made those veiled threats about shutting his son down early last season.

Dad should have just kept his it shut

Thank you for 1 good season in 2019 on a loaded team. Beyond that, don’t care for this kid.

Sting will be polarizing for the rest of his days

Where the polarization? We all agree: he’s the best DB of all the ones that missed games for multiple reasons and played hardest as a freshman.

I’m so glad to hear he’s recovered. He will blow away folks at his pro day and go top 10. He’s the best corner in this draft when he’s healthy

Does anyone know when he suffered the injury?
When he first had surgery for lisfranc?

The young man has moved on. Tiger fans need to let it go.

Some people have already made up their minds. They just KNOW Stingley was malingering and "damn it, don't confuse me with facts." So, it probably doesn't do any good at all to point out politely that they are incorrect.

But, FWIW, this is, in fact, a bad injury, but you can recover with proper surgical intervention. I wasn't aware of this study, but this 11 month return to competition sounds about right.

There are varying degrees/types/classification of the injury, so some are worse than others. But regardless, this joint bears one's weight, so it's especially bad for a professional athlete.

I don't think any reasonable person doubts that each injury can be different.
But does anybody know when he was first injured and when he first had surgery on it?
He was either AWOL or playing at less than full speed the last two seasons.
Without those facts, people are engaging in complete speculation.

So he's fully recovered 6 months later from a "brutal surgery" that common folks take about 3 months to recover from

So three month window (if everything goes right) puts his recovery of possibly being out of a walking boot after the season was over. Hmmmm is right

If he's fully healed and tests like he did as a true freshman, he's going to be a top 10 pick. He has a 42in vertical, can run a 4.4 40, and has the proven ball skills of an elite WR. There's no scout that is going to draft some obscure CB over Stingley if he's able to pass his physical and test like he could pre-injury.

Remains to be seen if Stingley ever returns to his 2019 playing form in the NFL but if he tests like he did back then, he's a first rounder.

That’s exactly what they think. They don’t care how much he risks his future they just want to be playing.

Including being the difference in the closest games (Auburn, Florida) and absolutely lighting UGA up in the SEC Title game.

No amount of you trying to marginalize his contributions will make it true that he was only a marginal contributor.

NFL teams don't put much faith in his ability. Some interesting reads out there. I believe he is a wus
