Is that a better lineup in 2011 when he did not win the NC?

That's the point, drizz.
The athletic dept and football in particular are among the highest performing facets of the whole system.
Yet Anderson is running his mouth the day before a game about addressing Les' performance.
At BEST, that's stupid and hypocritical.
At worse, it's Bobby Lowder-like meddling.
" Warm up the plane! Let's go interview Petrino!"

That's bullshite, 9-2 Les isnt even thought about twice, that's a good season overall. Now, 7-4 Les, hotseat for NEXT year.

There kind of is though. Think about it like a publicly traded company. When the shareholders demand some kind of answers from the board of directors on the CEO's job status, then the board has every right and responsibility to answer the shareholders.

Truth.

People need to put the pitchforks and torches down, it ain't happening this year unless he decides to retire.

Can't say. I'd believe Harris is a better quarterback than jefferson. Though, JJ was a senior. Only time will tell. I do believe Coach O will get the Defensive line to be a dominate force again.

Really? I wouldn't wish a Tiger loss for anything, no matter what any fans might say.

That's admirable. Wish the administration felt the same way.

As a proud optimist in most matters I can't agree with you.
Anderson's comments today indicate otherwise.

Says the 22 year old knee jerking poster. No one...not even bee fees puts les before LSU. Most of us think it is his time to go....but at the same time we also respect the guy for being a high character guy and the winningest coach in LSU history.

Lol. No coach would want to come to LSU after watching the school run off a coach who lost two games

ipodking, are you serious? it isn't just this year..

Les has 2 wins and 4 losses in the last 6 bowl games.

Les is coming off a 5 loss season.. He's lost 13 games and counting since 2011's defeating championship game. LSU is not even competitive in most of these losses.

Come on man. It's not about losing just 2 games.. We have been dropping an avg of 3-4 games over the past 4 seasons..

And all of that can be kept behind doors at a shareholders meeting.

You don't come out the day before a game that may have future significance and boast your concerns. It's tacky and IMO undermining. Undermining is the only thing I could possibly rationalize. Planting the seed now.

But still, it's unnecessary and serves no real purpose to go public if the power brokers already have it their minds.

What? Technically the fans/alumni/donors are the shareholders. There si no "meeting" for this to be disclosed to them when it comes to university athletics. The Board answers to the money. The money from across the country is demanding some kind of comment from the board.

Bama ran off a coach who was undefeated going into the last game of the year. I can't remember his name, but he was the former Kentucky coach.

I just don't understand how anyone who cares about lsu football can think the board member coming out like this with games left to play is a good decision.
It doesn't make lsu look good. It makes the board look like unprofessional imbeciles. It also provides a huge distraction for the team.

Just senseless.
