They can’t even control the crime on game day and they’re trying to raise ticket prices on top of a lame duck coach? Get real LSU so tone deaf, but all of Louisiana leadership is so not surprising
I suspect the increase is to address some of these issues.

In some fashion maybe, but not the recent bullshite we’ve experienced.

Between this increase in revenue and ed's buyout coming to a close, that's 7.7 million yearly freed up
That leaves a gap of 1 million per year to reach the buyout number
IDK if that's why they raised the prices but the timing is at least interesting

What they need to do is buy all the crime ridden property surrounding campus but that would really increase fees.

Make this make sense!!!
Declining product on the field
Declining game day experience
More crime and trouble on campus for gameday
Unbearable traffic
But yea, let’s jack up the prices for a substandard (at least as far as LSU is concerned) product

you could also park in the cow fields off river road for free
Didn’t need to. You could always find a spot on campus. Even right before kickoff.
They should have never done the newest expansion.

You aren’t factoring in the next coach’s salary which undoubtedly will be more than Kelly is currently making

$5.368 million
Only $52 million left to go...
The buyout is over a 6 year period, so this could cover over half of it.

Yeah, it's still a big issue.
Who knows what they're gonna do
BUT, theoretically if Orgeron's buyout was already in the budget, and they can factor in these new revenues from tickets,
All they would need to do is find an extra million dollars (like that's easy) per year. the new coach salary would already be accounted for I believe

What a great time to announce the increase…

35 year ticket and RV pass holder, atmosphere has been complete shite since Covid. Last two years we’ve had to chase cars out of our spot when we show up saturdays. Close to 2 grand in parking and we have wait for someone to find the aholes, who park in our reserved spot.
The stadium experience itself is shite now. Thugs roaming free and doing good rat stuff all over campus. And traffic control that looks like my 9 year old came up with the plan.
We are a frogs hair away from joining the watch it on TV crowd. Like some others have said, we’re starting to think of Saturday's as a hassle v. the fun it used to be.
Side note, this season is the least packed we have ever seen touchdown village. We have a few neighbors who let theirs go last season, more than usual showing up right before the game, and more chatter from other neighbors who are also thinking of throwing in the towel.
The admin are slowly killing tailgating.

cutting their own $ throat. With the product they will be putting out next year, they should be lowering the cost to attend a game, and changing the gutter music that is played in the stadium. More band playing.
they will raise prices and decrease their total incoming revenue.

End zone seating will have more modest increases, with North End Zone sections rising $100
Section 216 - 2 tickets (14 tickets over 7 home games)
2025 total price including tradition fund ($1,700) = $121.43 average per ticket
2026 total price including tradition fund ($1,900) = $135.71 average per ticket
11.8% price increase
I'm going to pay it, but $34 a ticket per hour for 4 hours (including pre-game) is significant.
I guess it's the same as a round of golf on a nice course and much less than a hunting trip or an offshore fishing trip. I can also lose $270 in a casino in less than 4 hours.
And I know many of you other season ticket holders spend MUCH more than I do. My tickets are some of the lowest cost season tickets in the entire stadium.

As long as TV contracts keep going up and corporate America keeps buying up tickets TDGAF.Its turning into total greed not only for the administrations but players are coaches also.

I get it, we have had the same conversation about what happens for us after the season. Even coming from the northshore, this is an all-day thing that is becoming more of a hassle than fun. I’ll take my 5k+ and spend it elsewhere.

I'm glad you gave them up too

If y’all didn’t see this coming, I don’t know what to tell you. The athletic department now has to find an extra $20 million per year to fund the rev-share.
