He wasn’t a guy with a particularly good resume when he was hired. Basically he was a Kermit Davis guy. McMahon hired him because he wanted someone in the SEC landscape. For his part, Hamilton saw the writing on the wall and bailed on Ole Miss before Davis was fired.

Is this the second assistant that McMahon has lost?
Was the first assistant lost last year replaced by someone already on staff?
Will McMahon elevate someone from his current staff or will he be able to entice someone who can actually move the needle?
This program needs a big injection of excitement. The level of enthusiasm is back to Johnson and Jones years.
