Yeah, I was short-sighted with that comment. If the kid comes from little, clearing 525-550K off of that signing bonus could be huge. I don't know his personal situation, therefore "life changing" is relative.

I chuckled when I read the Rays scouting report on Mikie that said he was an excellent baserunner.
Mikie has very few flaws in his overall game and is many things. But "excellent" baserunner is not one of them.
It's really the only area of his game that needs work.
