I don’t care how much anyone posts as long as they are decent. None of your posts are very good though.
In the month of June you made 11 new posts. 9 of them are about home runs. None of them really started any meaningful discussions. Many of them were just random numbers with no context. You can keep doing them, I’m just telling you why people don’t like them and you repeatedly get downvoted.

Hey, I like your thread, mayne. Pretty interesting. That Skenes guy was pretty good.

Yeah I think if you post the numbers and then follow that up with your observations on the data that can help spark discussions. Personally I find these threads enjoyable enough, mostly because there's not a ton of new topics to discuss. They tend to fizzle out quickly and yes the discussions tend to be at least as much about the thread itself rather than the topic of the thread.
In the interest of countering that and discussing the original topic, 200+ strikeouts in one season is a lot. Mr Skenes is good at baseball. Mr Anderson is pretty good too

What a valid point.

I really don't spend that much time on here; mostly a little while at night.
Thanks for thinking about me and being triggered enough by my opinions to mention my name though. .

Not sure why everyone is shitting on you. Pretty strong correlation here. You have some monsters on Friday and Saturday with swing and miss stuff, and your team can be very, very good.

All that, and still missed the tournament.
W + L's are all that matter to me....because you asked.
Enjoy the vacation.

That 2024 staff was a bunch of guys that went on to bigger things.

Ignore the jackasses. Thanks for the thread.

it's a pretty meaningless data set.
No it’s not. Strikeouts are a fairly important metric.

the total number of pitchers with 15 or more strikeouts doesn't say much if anything without more context.

Yes it does. You can clearly see the lack of dominant pitching in 2026, for example. Paul Skenes’ strikeouts are shocking. It’s nice to be reminded of Eyanson and Anderson mowing them down in 2025.

No it doesn't. I'm going to give you strikeout totals for a season of LSU baseball without providing names or the year or any other context. You tell me if this tells you anything of the value of that pitching staff

If you think listing how many pitchers threw 15 or more strikeouts tells a story without any additional context, these numbers should tell you that staff kinda sucked outside one pitcher right?

Yes, it does. For one thing, I look at the top and see one guy over a hundred and not by much. That looks like a staff that better have great defense behind them.
But the better point is that you are assuming that he listed this in order to evaluate staffs. What if he didn’t? What if he listed it because he, and some others, are interested in it from an aesthetic point of view?
This is a classic case of someone whining about a thread because he doesn’t like it, when the real answer is to stay out of it.
