LSU Bar in Chicago

Will be in town for the Ole Miss Game. Is the Chicago-area bar still the Standard Bar & Grill? I got the rec from the travel board and some old threads on the Rant.

C'mon...you are an LSU fan....just walk into ANY bar and declare "Tonight, THIS is an LSU bar!" and take over that place!

We've been boycotting Dodie's here in Dallas for the last two seasons, and essentially been doing this at different bars. The usual fanbase is never too happy Unfortunately, this time I won't have a crew behind me

Food's not great and there may be a total of 3-4 good viewing spots in the entire establishments. Everything else doesn't face the large projector and you're stuck with some 25inch corner TV from the early 2000s

I watched a game at The Standard in 2014 and it was packed with Tiger fans and was a really good time.

Standard Bar and Grill Wicker Park. Watched a few games there. It's awesome....and it's where LSU fans go.

I’ll second Standard. Went there last weekend for LSU auburn and it was packed full of LSU fans. Owners are alumni. I’ll be there for LSU v ole miss as well, find the guy in the gold shirt I got you a drink ( ) but seriously, it’s a great time. It’s usually jam packed for big games so get there early

My parents watched the Miami game at Standards and had an absolute blast. My mother said they mute the TVs during all the commercials and play tiger band and LSU related music. The LOVED it.

The Standard is the way to go. Packed with LSU fans and they do a good job on audio.
Food was decent, bartenders are nice. Get there early to get a table or call ahead to see about reserving a table.

Hey fellas, I'm thinking about hitting the LSU bar for the game watch this weekend. It looks like the Chicago LSU alumni official game watch is at DS Tequila. Is that the new place or is standard still the go to this year?
