I hope they promote Dr. Llinas. He's sharp, and used to do really crazy DCI-style halftime shows at his last job.

Any chance Moorhouse comes back? I notice she's still Associate Director at Illinois.
Surely she'd have to consider returning to LSU as Director of Bands.

The problem with that is Roy King was just Director of the "Tiger Band" only.
He wasn't "Director of Bands" which includes all bands. That position I think is filled.
Roy was never considered for that job because he doesn't hold the title of "Dr."

Okay, I'm not familiar with the present Director of Bands. He may be very qualified.
But your marching band is the most visible part of your music program. The Director of Bands should be your marching band director, as Frank Wickes was.
Since Wickes retired, this has been a freak arrangement, with the gbftl director not holding both titles.
Ideally, offer Linda Moorhouse whatever she wants.

To bad this isn't a band decision. This destruction of the Tiger Stadium atmosphere and the basic elimination of our great band and its traditional songs is solely controlled by the PC administrators and CBS who is scared someone may get offended by ugly student chants.
Tiger Stadium is a far cry from what it once was in terms of atmosphere and tradition.

Neck has been around since either mid 2006, or early 2007. It's hardly a "tradition". Any gripes about Tiger Stadium atmosphere has zero to do with Neck.
