For more suggestions:

Golf:

Haile Plantation is the only course worth playing. See if you can get on there. My club has reciprocity there so we play there every year the Friday before the game

Spurrier’s Restaurant is a decent place with solid atmosphere to eat

For closer to campus food, The Swamp used to be the place but the demolished it and moved it so not sure about the new location.

Weird, since the law posted in the group is that drinking is perfectly fine on campus on game day.

Too many other posters on this board just hate the Gators so they let that infect their opinion of the trip.

Low IQs excell at group think. They read stuff on here and just constantly repeat it. I'd be willing to bet some that said it in this thread have never once stepped foot on Florida's campus.

Amazingly it’s a pitiful experience. The lore of the Swamp and all the resources Fla offers. And it’s the worst trip of any team hands down. Just shite people everywhere

Had a 60 year old Gator fan take a swing at my mama in the upper deck in 06 as we were leaving the swamp after getting beat. I kicked the ever living shite outta that guy. Got back to my car to find all 4 windows broken. Worst road trip ev

Find an amenable LSU tailgate and camp out. FU has the worst fans in tSEC (and it's not particularly close).

Went in '98 after storming the field in '97 in Tiger Stadium and I've never seen a fan base take over a campus like we did. The natives were shocked.

Worst fans in the SEC. Those jort wearing Assholes still act like Spurrier and Tebow are still there. They and their cops will take out their frustrations over sucking on LSU fans. I might go, especially since it's in November and won't be hot as Hell there. Parking at the hospital is free and only about a half mile walk.

Worst pre-game/tailgating atmosphere in the SEC

Worst fans in the SEC

Don’t go, unless you really don’t care about having a good time

Gainesville is a cool town…fans are horrible and tailgating is terrible… save your money and go somewhere else for a ball game…Always happy to see Florida lose at anything….

it's really shocking at how bad their tailgating game is, I'll bet La Tech has a better tailgating setup, the last few times I went there we beat their arse so they were somewhat humble after the game but if they're favored, or heaven forbid they win, they are by far the douchiest fans in the conference

I guess I just don’t get the “terrible tailgating”

The last 5 trips in Gainesville we had a tent, chairs, alcohol, food, music, and people

LSU home games we have a tent, chairs, alcohol, food, music, and people

I’m not sure why the amount of other people doing the exact same thing may get for your own personal tailgating fun

you haven't got a clue what you're talking about. I've been to the Swamp almost every year for the past 20 years, invited for one game a year by a Gator buddy of mine.

There's tailgating everywhere at UF, and it resembles what you see at any of the big SEC schools.

Their fans are every bit as passionate about their football as we are, and I can appreciate that.

Now, there are plenty of jorts and tattoos to be seen, but every big SEC school has that.

It's ok to hate UF if you want, but don't lie about tailgating, their campus, or the stadium. All of those are very good, and it's a great place to watch college football.

okay, I must have overlooked something for the 30 or so years that I've gone to games there, don't know why everything on here has to turn into a dick whipping contest, that's my perception and it wasn't a one off experience

I guess I just want an explanation for what sucks about heir tailgating?

It’s food, tents, alcohol, music. What’s the difference about tour tailgate there vs back in BR? Are there as numerous? No. But my tailgate in Gainesville is the exact same as BR

I get Oxford complaints because you can’t actually grill, but Gainesville it’s the exact same for us

Like I feel like this photo you wouldn’t know if it was in BR or Gainesville
