If the Catholic church and Penn State felt like Blue..they would be better off today. And I'm not homophobic so peddle that crap somewhere else.

Reveille will be asking athletes soon what they think of playing alongside journalism majors?

While I loathe the stupidity of Blue's comments, I completely agree the reporter is most definitely a douche bag journalism major looking for attention.

This is pretty much it in a nutshell.

Agree. They want people worked up about gay rights, immigration, and other crap while they press the boot down on our throats through taxes, Patriot Act, etc.

He did answer it honestly, but as a college athlete, your opinion reflects on your school. I respect people for being honest, but this just reflects poorly on the program.

Thats why athletics associations always come back and say that the views of this player or that do not necessarily reflect the views of LSU.

exactly, some people only believe in free speech when it fits their own views or opinions.
I may not agree with his statement but, I support his right to say it..

Political correctness sucks.
this doesn't make any sense

free speech doesn't mean you can say whatever you want and not be criticized by the public for it.

I support his right to say what he wants. But what he said was incredibly ignorant and offensive. There is no "political correctness" about it. He is being flat out hateful in his language

Jeez, you're stupid. It's not like he told me about specific patients. You can find the same information online using Google.

i don't see any where on here saying I cant be homophobic.

At least you admit that you are.

Blue has the right to say whatever the hell he wants, but if it reflects poorly on the football program or the university, he needs to be ready to face the consequences. I know this was an interview for the school paper, but if he would've said the same thing to an ESPN reporter, then this would not do LSU any favors.

Good for Blue. I would rather honesty than this PC culture we have adopted in recent years. If your feelings get hurt because of his views towards gays, tough shite. Cry about it to someone else. Unless his comments do physical harm, I could care less. Bunch of pussies if you ask me.

For exactly 5 mins. It will reflect badly on LSU as a whole for 5 mins. I dont know about you, but when I think of Alabama football, I think of recent dominance and championships (although they did back their way into the two recent ones). I dont think of the University that just let go of three football players because they mugged their own fellow students leaving one of them unconscious, stole a campus debit card and used it to buy their cheetos to feed the munchies they surely developed from "extracurricular activities", and were shortly thereafter arrested and released from the program. No, Alabama has a good football program, and that trumps all. LSU has a good football program, and that will surely trump all, even if they get a black eye from our running back by him mouthing off on his sexuality views and honestly answering a question by what was more than likely a journalism major that is the same age as Blue to begin with, trying to get a rise out of everyone. Considering this subject now has 11 pages of comments, mission accomplished. The underlining point being, Blue's comments were insensitive and are only relevant because ESPN has been pumping the sexuality in sports theme for the last few weeks, but in the grand scheme of things, no one really cares. Two weeks from now, the general public will associate LSU as a good program, and not the homophobic program that, for whatever reason, all of you that are overreacting to this seem to think it'll be.
