Yeah, there goes LSU's chances at getting all the gay 5 star recruits in the future.

Screw the political answer that most want to hear. I applaud Blue, most NFL players think like this. If they had a gay teammate come forward most would be uncomfortable with her in the locker room.

Let me ask you a question - Are you a Christian?

I am, and I also could care less about what gays do with their lives. The problem I have is currently, you cannot say anything without offending anyone. You cannot please everyone, and at the end of the day I would rather someone tell the truth, than lie about how they really feel, just to appease a small group.

why do people keep bring up PC?

Why are people applauding him for saying something hateful?

If he said something offensive toward Christianity or white people or women, etc. I highly doubt the same people would be "applauding" him.

“Football is supposed to be this violent sport — this aggressive sport that grown men are supposed to play,” said senior LSU running back Alfred Blue. “Ain’t no little boys out here between them lines. So if you gay, we look at you as a sissy. You know? Like, how you going to say you can do what we do and you want a man?”

1. he should not have said that
2. this is America. he gave his opinion, dont chastise him. His opinion is likely the prevailing one, I promise you. I wouldn't say it and you may not have said it but I guarantee you, many feel that way.
3. Shame on the idiots at the Revielle to put him in that situation. They know who is/is not vulnerable to those types of questions.
4. move along - blue is a football player not a politician. get over it Nancies

I guess the only way to resolve this is for Blue to wear a rainbow jock-strap on the outside of his gold pants in this weekends Spring Game. Gay recruits will unite, and LSU as a whole will be exonerated...

yea, he could have said,

"my personal feelings on this matter are irrelevant and I do not wish to get into this"

He wouldn't be lying

Did you know that once upon a time some white players had the same feelings towards black players in college and pro sports?

this is insanely idiotic. So now I can say whatever I want and people can't disagree with me because this is America?

yea, but unforuntately he made his bed and he will be receiving flak for it.

It's what happens in a free society. People will freely disagree with you

LOL Yep. It's hilarious.

He could talk bad about gays, or muslims and that would be fine. Gay muslims? I'm not sure where that would fall though.

Meh, I may not agree with it, but I am not going to cry like a bitch because someone hurt my feelings. People are entitled to their opinion, whether others agree with it or not. I think the point most are trying to get across with the "PC" comments is that people are too sensitive and need to lighten up. When people say things like this, other people act like he murdered someone. Lighten up Barbara.

Still have not seen someone defending his free speech and crucifying us for being "PC" take a stab at this.....

What's hilarious is how y'all think he is a public enemy now cause he doesn't want to be tolerant toward gay football players.

Just like the military, they are also very tolerant of it too.

totally different era. Todays era is nowhere as ignorant, close minded, freedom of speech everywhere. And white players did not wory about black players fantasizing about them.

Who the frick wants to shower with a gay guy if you are a man? Serious question.

I don't want men in my daughter's restroom while she's showering for obvious reasons, men are attracted to women.

So if a man is gay, he is attracted to having sex with men.....I don't want a gay male showering with my son, period!

I will NEVER endorse knowingly putting kids in a shower with people who are sexually attracted to them. GFY if you try to MAKE me have my children in that situation.

Who is crying like a little bitch? I'm just saying it was an ignorant, hateful and short-sighted thing to say and he deserves any criticism he gets for saying what he said.

With Freedom of Speech comes great responsibility. If you choose to say things that essentially condemn an entire group of people, you deserve to get chastised.

All Blue did was state his honest opinion. People need to stop being pansies and just realize he's a football player who was asked a question, and he gave his honest answer. So the frick what. Get over it. If anyone should be ashamed its The Reveille. Spring game coming up, and this is what you're asking the football team?
