Arkansas and Missouri have played that week and they have remained annual opponents.

LSU doesnt have anyone on the permanent 3 rotation that could be there outside of Arky.

I feel like Oklahoma Mizzou is gonna get moved to Rivalry week.

Maybe it did come from the SEC but if LSU had fought to keep the boot that last week it would’ve stayed there. I don't think they cared enough to.

A&M is always going to play Texas that week now. OU and Texas play mid-season in the Red River Shootout (frick the woke version of this name). Missouri now has OU as a permanent and they have a much longer history with them going back to the Big 8. I have a feeling they will be paired for Rivalry Week and we will go back to playing Arkansas, which is a good close of the season game for us.

My thoughts, too. One thing to remember is this is for 4 years, not 20.

Looks like Tenn got an easy draw.

I would have rathered nearly anyone than A&M. Except Oklahoma, Mizzou, and Texas.

Bring back 12 team leagues.

Vandy v Miss State is a classic battle of the smartest schools.

I predicted OM, A&M, and Bama originally but after much thought I knew there was zero chance Birmingham offices would give Bama permanents in Auburn, Tenner and LSU.

I knew their 3 permanents were going to be Auburn, Tenner and State (State’s most played opponent and two closest SEC schools). At that point our third permanent was going to be Oklahoma, Florida or Arkansas. At least we got the easiest of the 3

I don’t think anyone gets an easy draw.

Tenn still has to play UGA, Florida, Texas, OU, LSU, Ole Miss, A&M, SC every 2 years. & Bama every year

With a 9 game schedule, everyone will have 4-5 tough matchups every year

I would have rathered Florida, Bama, or Auburn in place of A&M but I'll take it.

The main oddball matchup is Ole Miss & OU. This makes sense if OU is planning to keep/renew the OSU game for rivalry week.

I wish we played one or two of the big 6 annually, but I'm OK if it's OMiss, Aggies and piggies.

Total speculation on my part, but I do believe we will see Texas, Kentucky, Auburn, & others that we haven’t played the past 2 years. Hoping they still give us Bama & Florida but maybe not

I guess with the 9 game SEC schedule and a 4 year re-look it doesn't matter much.

This. The SEC moved things around to pair us with A&M for Rivalry Week for bigger ratings a few years ago before Texas joined the SEC. Once they did, we got stuck with OU simply because of musical chairs since they always play their rivalry game with UT mid-season.

They could have made the move to pair OU with Missouri then, but I guess it was less impact to their bridge 2 year schedule to just leave that alone and put us with OU.

I really wanted Bama, Ole Miss, and Auburn. I miss the Auburn game every year!
