This seems strange, any confirmation of the deal?

I know we all assume Brady is the reason for the transformation and he probably is... but it seems like a slap in the face to SE during this amazing season so far, to then basically strip his job and his credit.

This could probably have waited until after the year with a nice thank you to SE

Yeah, they know how important he is. Glad to see them doing the right thing here.

Why is Brady getting his due for the influence he's had on this offense a slap in the face to Ensminger?

I suspect they didn't want Brady fielding phone calls for the next two months. This ensures his focus is where it needs to be.

Because I’m assuming Brady wouldn’t be getting paid almost $2million to continue to be the passing game coordinator...

It’s basically saying (in the middle of our best season) “hey SE, we’re replacing you even though this is our best season in a decade”

Last report we heard anyway about play calling was that SE did most of it and let Brady calls some plays here and there...

I think Brady is the future, but it’s a big F U to SE to do the deal now

I think that Ensmimnger will likely become an analyst and continue to mentor Brady.

Ensminger will have more time with his family and will still get paid to contribute in a meaningful way to the football team he loves.

It was live on radio this morning and several have confirmed it here and on pay sites.

Just going to keep pointing out that absolutely nobody is reporting this story.

People forget, that Slinger didn't even want to be the OC. He just did it for Coach O. He'll probably be happy to hand the keys off.

There is nothing happening that doesn't have Steve's support. While he obviously is not making the call on dollar amounts, their respective titles next year will be what Steve wants them to be.

TigerTub on 247 said it's a done deal, and he's pretty much better than any ESPN, CBS, etc source.

First of all nothing changed until Brady got here, Yeah coach E deserves some credit but the offense was a dinosaur the whole time he was here and involved. Brady brought real change he deserves most the credit and coach E had already turned the offensive coordinator job down he really didn't want it coach O forced it on him because he would do what he said until he could find the right guy. I love coach E he is a true tiger but I think even he would say Brady is the change we needed.

This. Ensminger wants what is best for LSU. He only took the job because we couldn't find anyone after Canada.

And I'm not talking the big networks. You'd figure the local reporters actually close to the program would have caught wind of this by now and said something.
