We get a good offensive coordinator then yeah maybe

Not sure how anyone with a slightly functioning brain would think Alleva/O would make a home run hire there

Yeah but some of them don't have what it takes. Coach O has been through the fire and is ready.

Look, I think O did a good job with this team overall considering the position he was in. But we were sloppy and unfocused in the UF loss which had everything riding on it. Our team didn't seem that motivated either. Nothing on O's resume really shows that he has what it takes to bring LSU to the next level.

Wow, you just don't let things go do you? You should check out Tom Landry's first three years with the Dallas Cowboys. There is this thing called a learning curve. He has done a very good job for us under very difficult circumstances. He also did a great job for USC under similar circumstances. We should have beaten Florida, but, if they beat FSU today that won't look so bad either.

So you are saying he knows how not do anything? What a joke. You're a joke and so is LSU.

You could have learned something from my post - enjoy mediocrity.

I guess we'll have to wait and see. In the meantime I'm all in for O the future is bright.

OK... I'm not going to stop being an LSU fan. I still really don't like the hire.

I must admit that I was pretty upset at first about this hire, but I watched Coach O in the press conference and he changed my mind. Hopefully he makes a home run OC hire not named Kiffin and is able to keep Aranda.

Sorry. Little things like a coach being an abject failure in his only stint as a permanent head coach tend to influence my opinion on that coach's qualifications. Crazy, I know!!

And under similar circumstances at Ole Miss to what he will have now (see: permanent head coach, forced to run the entire program, recruit, hire staff, deal with more pressure and expectations than an interim coach) he was utterly atrocious.

Nah. See, unlike your illiterate arse, I actually went to LSU and come from 3 previous generations of LSU grads. I can't just switch t-shirts and become a fan of another team.

Funny you'd choose Vandy as your example, though, considering Orgeron lost to them twice when he was at Ole Miss.

I wasn't thrilled with it at first but after thinking about it. I've come to the conclusion that LSU made the right choice.

Seem's like LSU read Donald Trumps book.

How did he do against the two good teams this season?

So LSU fans have to like this hire or become fans of another school? That's stupid.

Typical Louisiana defeatist attitude. We will never have it better than we do, so let's just accept mediocrity and never aspire for anything better. Very sad.

You can choose to like it and enjoy the ride or you can stew about it and be miserable. You might as well like it because there's not a thing you can do to change it.
