I'll make 2 comments:
1. 1/128 college football teams were considering hiring Orgeron as Head Coach.
2. Every single SEC coach has a better resume than Orgeron.
So no real answer then?
OK, so you are saying you would rather have Bielema, Mullins, Frieze that guy from Vandy? OK, well, we just disagree.

t about the other 3 or 4 dozen coaches with better résumés than O
You're rehashing things that you can't do anything about. It's time to look to the future.

Go ahead. List every current head coach of a power 5 team. And tell me which ones have a worst head coaching record that Ed Orgeron.
I would literally be okay with every other SEC head coach. Why? They've proven they are better head coaches than Orgeron.

Not for long they won't.

He should be fired if he doesn't get 20 wins in the next two seasons or if LSU has a recruiting class outside the top-10

We just fired the most successful head coach in LSU history and replaced him with what is now the worst coach in the SEC.

There are only 2 coaches in the United States besides Coach O we could have hired. Only 2. There are none other that exist in this land of 300 million. None.
I can think of four who would have been better:
Tommy Tuberville
David Cutcliffe
Houston Nutt
Hugh Freeze

OK, well, you need to find another hobby then. It honestly does not matter because the NCAA is going to let BAMA cheat and Saban is still their coach so can't we just go for entertainment value?

You guys don't understand. You just don't. You have no idea how frustrating the next decade is going to be.

Of course, when we go 8-4 next year the excuses will be out in full force. "He needs time. He's learning as he goes."
Just rwmwmber, every single excuse you hear in the coming years will be reflective of why this was a poor hire. We were a good coach away from competing with Saban and Bama. And we hired a DL coach.

I worked in the Athletic Department when Mike Archer was the coach. I think I have some grasp of frustration.

Les was fired for being 8-20 against ranked opponents since 1/9/12. And for dropping near .500 in SEC play over the last 4 years

Ok, who is that hire? Tom (I lost to Navy) Herman? Jimbo (without a sexual molester I suck) Fisher? Just give us that homerun hire name and I might agree with you.

I'm not saying a homerun hire. I'm saying a hire better than Orgeron.
Petrino
Gundy
Whittington
Fuente
Riley
Cryst
Mason
Doeren
MacIntyre
Fedora
Taggert
Fleck
I could go on and on.
The issue is that we didn't interview any of these people. And now, our former DC coach is gonna make more than almost everyone of those guys as HC. It's a joke.

Miles was both those things but it only goes so far and has a ceiling

That is a quite a list of also ran coaches. Again, if you are not going to win, why not go for entertainment value. Petrino, by the way, is a degenerate, so i would respectfully disagree there.

Ed Orgeron, CBD. (Coach by Default)
He must feel proud.

Wow. You're an idiot. I don't have a problem with missing on Jimbo or Herman. But, we should've done the due diligence of interviewing the next several in line. Hiring Orgeron was lazy.
