Go look at his stats in his last 5 appearances last year against good competition. He was the best pitcher on staff last year the last month of the season

I disagree here. Just can't afford long fly balls in the 8th inning out of the pen. Sac Flys and solo HRs will kill you late, but early on a Sunday you can overcome them. And like I said he gets better as the game goes on. You can't bring him out of the pen with guys on base

We love it when our guys do it. He’s pitching against the #1 team in the country with one of, if not the, best offenses in the country. And he’s fired up. A lot of y’all may not want to hear this, but he’s been really good so far. Made some really good pitches.
Great inning by Floyd. Maybe he’s settled in. Now a bomb by White and it’s 4-1 and their starter is over 60 pitches with no outs in the 4th. It’s gonna be ok.

Worn down? That’s gotta be it. After all I’m sure they’ve played at least 20 more games than USC. I’ve seen it before, this is a team of front runners.
