The defensive gameplan tonight should be completely different than that vs. UK & A&M. In those games LSU sagged back and invited the opponent to shoot 3's. That can't be the case tonight. LSU MUST guard the perimeter or this game could turn into a ND-esque blowout.
The good news is that LSU's offense should find shots easier than they did vs. UK & A&M. Arkansas wants to get out in transition and simply try to out score you moreso that try to stop you from scoring. This matchup plays right into Waters' hands. If his shot is falling he could have BIG night.
If LSU pulls off the upset it will be the biggest win of the season and at least at this point make them a serious contender for a spot in the NCAAT moving forward.

The fact that we can even say things like this seriously today is absolutely mind-blowing. I would never have guessed that we would actually be having this conversation after one week of SEC play during Wade's first year. And yet, here we are. We still have a lot of basketball to play this year, and I'm sure some nights we will all be scratching our heads wondering how the team that went on the road and won at A&M and beat Michigan away from home could have lost to ________ . but damn it, it feels good to have hope and optimism for the bright future of this program.
