I used to think this way. Then I endured 4 years of Trent johnson "waiting" for him to get his 4 year players and system players in place to bring us to sustainable results. That was a joke.

Basketball is one of the few sports where a turn around can happen within 1-2 years of a new coaching hire assuming your coach can either actually coach and/or bring in 1 or 2 big time recruits. You need to get results with the players you have that are eligible and not play the what if game if a player ineligible and/or injuries(a la Adam miller). I'll give him the benefit of the doubt and hope he succeeds. Buts he's going to be gone by year 3 or maybe year 4 if he has a season like last year every year. I'm hopeful that this season won't be a bust.

I’m talking about how he coaches the players he has. He got the guys he could get in the portal and has recruited a good 2025 class. I just don’t know how attractive it is for transfers to come here now and the one we really needed was ruled ineligible. If the roster isn’t better next year then sure move on , I’m just saying that he seems to be getting the guys to play hard for him but the talents lacking
