Interesting matchup and a game that the Tigers need to win.

Rankings for these two teams are a mixed bag. Last week I thought this would be a lock of a win for LSU but now I would give a slight edge to the home team.

Should be a very interesting game. Syracuse is a very similar team to us. Defensively rely heavily on forcing turnovers but also have the tendency to turn the ball over a bit themselves. LSU does have better defense inside the arc than the Orange and Syracuse has struggled to score from outside so far this year. This should be a win for the Tigers if they play to their standards. But if we get the team that showed up in the second half of the North Florida game though, it will be ugly

Should also be noted that Syracuse has played a harder schedule up to this point, with two losses to Tennessee and Gonzaga. I expect it to be a close game

Going to need better guard play to win this one. Syracuse has the upper hand in that department

Although early, it does show up in RPI with Cuse 73 but LSU 176, with both teams being 4-2. However, the advanced stat sites like LSU better, but not by much.

I spent some time up there this summer. Every time I commented to someone how nice it was, they glared at me and said, "You should come back in winter!"

Another aspect where they are similar to us. They got destroyed on the boards against Gonzaga and Tennessee and also got outrebounded by Colgate. I expect rebounding to be about even in this game

Syracuse just beat Chaminade on the latter's home court by 50, and looked like a well-oiled machine in the process, with crisp passing, assists and scoring sets. LSU hasn't been as efficient, particularly in the 2nd half v N. Florida.

Home game v The Orange? Syracuse 88, LSU 66. Will become a teachable moment

Why will weather become a factor? Is the game played outdoors?

Same here. Taking the kids out of school and heading up from NYC in a bit. No way we can miss LSU playing nearby.

Is Syracuse still running a 2-3? We've struggled with that this year

Okay, so Syracuse is pretty bad, they haven't had a good performance all year. But the big key is they are DOGSHITE at shooting the three. Currently shooting a 337th best in the country 25.9 percent.

Against all odds our defense actually has been okay this season, the large eye sore? Opponent 3 point percentage, we are giving up 35% from the 3 point line.

LSU simply can't let these guys get going against us if we want to dig this road win out.
