I told y’all. The PAC has only won one playoff game and that was factored in.

could definitely see this. If we were both to win this week, we would have very similar resumes.

Yeah if you completely ignore SOS.

So no, not even close to similar.

And after watching UGA this passed weekend, I’m believing a little more that we actually stand a shot at beating them.

Not that it matters but what do y’all think we’d be right now had Mich and TCU lost?

If Ohio state beats Michigan we should move to the 4th spot before the SEC Championship game.

Eh, I think it depends on how the game goes. If OSU completely blows them out then that’s one thing. If it’s close (or even competitive really), I wouldn’t be terribly surprised to see Michigan at 4. But I would still think we jump them if we beat UGA.

There’s still the chance we get jumped by USC prior to the SECCG as well. I know everybody thinks this is a definitive statement by the committee, but they have a game against #15 Notre Dame this weekend. Meanwhile we have a game against unranked dumpster fire aTm. There’s certainly the chance that ND beats USC, making it a moot point. But if USC handles them, the order might change next week.

All of that said.. I don’t think it matters. If we win out, I think we’re in regardless of where we stand from #4-6 going into the SECCG. FWIW the 538 playoff predictor agrees - even in the nightmare scenario where LSU, Clemson, Michigan, USC, and TCU all win out, they have LSU at an 87% chance to make the CFP.

The real question is what happens to the loser of OSU/Michigan?

Michigan loss and they drop out of the CFP. OSU might still get in with a loss; would be close.

It’s real simple guys. If LSU wins out, we are in. If we lose a game we are out. It’s that simple. Next question

I have a feeling the committee is giving us a bit of a mulligan for the Florida State game

Really reminds me of 2018. They liked us a lot then and even when we lost we never fell far.

How cool that ND is helping LSU in so many ways. New Head coach, they can knock USC out, they beat Clemson, etc.

won't be surprised if USC passes us next week if they beat Notre Dame impressively...

Kelley needs to keep in mind that the refs can have a hand in the future. Never leave it in the refs hand. Just like the Bama game.
