The key to success for this offense is keeping at bats alive. It was painfully obvious in the Texas series that we are not very good at that. The difference in foul balls hit by Texas compared to us was staggering. And we see here in the first inning duplantis fouling a third strike off and taking a walk paid off. For this offense to improve, we have got to be better at battling at the plate. We can’t have what smith Watson and gio did. Not even getting a bat on the ball.
