There I've said it
I wish the NCAA pass a rule banning coaches from calling pitches anyway.
Catchers should be calling their own games at this level imo

Because we were up by 4, and hughes is a hell of a defensive player

Not sure if it’s been noted but Hughes in at 2B for Dugas
Why in the absolute frick would we do that?!?
I'm not a fan of that move at all even if the thinking is for defenses purposes only.

I’m not making excuses and yes it is easier than getting a base hit but that doesn’t make it easy.
It’s easier than hitting.
I’ve always believed team players make better bunters. Guys that sacrifice, work the count, move runners up with no one out will help you win.
But it’s a lost art. Nobody wants to bring little Johnny to Atlanta with his travel ball team to watch him bunt. They are there to showcase Johnny, and watch him slug homers.
I see too many of our guys that don’t know how to bunt.

I don't think it's one of his strengths.

What if they are up in the pen stretching & maybe tossing g, not actually throwing?
Does that “get them hot”?
Curious to know what that point is to not cause potential harm but have someone ready if things go downhill fast
I’ve always wondered this as well.
Are college pitchers not “warming up” and throwing the ball around every day anyway?
I just assumed they would get warm every day but I honestly don’t know

Too early for defensive subs

Was really hoping we didn’t have to burn him today

You’re basing this opinion off of emotion.
Being a team guy doesn’t make you a better bunter having a good eye makes you a better bunter

Eh, its the 7th inning, its close enough

Batter bailed him out. I’ll take it.

Mathis, Watson, Duplantis due up in the top of the 8th
Tigers lead 5-2
Tigers lead 5-2

Majorly disagree. We need more runs to be comfortable in this game and you don’t run a defensive sub out there until you know the offensive guy won’t bat again
