LSU 2nd in the nation in Red Zone rushing TDs - 9 Rushing TDs - Why all the Sky-Screaming about LSU's run game?

Let the passing game eat up huge chunks of yardage, then let the run game clean up when need be.

It ain't broke, so don't fix it!

And Balance? 9 Red Zone rushing TDs and 8 Red Zone passing TDs - no other team on that list comes close to LSU for the kind of balance that really counts! TDs

Imagine Derrick Dillon playing in front of jamar Chase. The offense could still be good, wouldn’t it?

You don’t have to run or pass more. Just get the best guys in there

Better get this info over to Orgeron ASAP. He seems to think we need to improve our rushing too. He says it has something to do with better defenses coming along later in the schedule or some nonsense.

With Joey football on the field I’m not worried about the rushing attack at all

We are a miserable fan base.

We want a passing game.

We get a passing game.

We complain about the running game.

Exactly. As a collective fanbase LSU fans have been begging for a passing game with quality QB play and now that we have that and more, some of the fans are now complaining that we aren't running the ball. The offense is crazy effecient. It's working and working very, very well. Sit back and enjoy it.

What people are failing to understand is this is a "take what they give us" offense. Short 5-7 yd passes are an effective replacement for a run game. If they start coming out in Nickel and Dime on a regular basis, then our running will increase. Until then, why force it? If it ain't broke, don't fix it. For goodness sake, we're averaging 55 points a game, people...

You are correct. In the offseason it was discussed that the RPO/Brady offense would use short passes as a function of the run game. I'm happy with scoring every red zone opportunity and putting up 55 PPG. They will continue to develop the run game and blocking, but this is the type of offense it will take to beat Bama so I trust the staff knows what they are doing.

All but one of those rushing touchdowns were against cupcakes. Don’t toot the rushing horn just yet. Better defenses will shut the run down until our OL can put together some semblance of run blocking.

We're used to running the ball so much, that the lack of rushing stats seems to annoy us a little.

But we don't need rushing stats, we just need a running game that can pick up short yardage and keep the defense honest.

Not sure I'd call Ga Southern a cupcake. They led Minnesota with 13 seconds in the 4th quarter last week.

Most people are bitching about the Oline blocking for the run game, which is a legit concern. The ones bitching about anything else must be perfectionist
