You are confusing stats with skill-set.

What did Burrow show you last year that gave you this impression?

I could look at Burrow last year and tell he would have a fantastic season this year. Most of us could.

People who rely on stats to make their conclusions are really limiting themselves.

First year, just joined the program, had lots of drops.

You were comparing him to Danny Etling last year. Now that was crazy.

Its insanity. Everything about Burrow is better than Etling.

, 8 games into last year you knew we'd hire Brady and Burrow would improve exponentially? That's impressive.

The takes Lester is discussing were in the first few weeks of the season. Burrow was objectively bad to start last year.

I knew Burrow would improve dramatically regardless of hire. His talent is not difficult to see.

He was also inaccurate.

The idea that this Burrow is the same guy we had last year is laughable. They're not in the same stratosphere, and kudos to Burrow for making thag personal improvement.

Burrow was throwing dimes the first 8 games and all season. The WRs were grossly unprepared. Talented athletes, yes. But unbelievably unprepared to field a passing game in any league.

It was pretty difficult to see when he was throwing for 150 yards and 50% completions against Southeastern.

At times, most could easily be attributed to inexperience. All he needed was reps with his WRs and more options.

I thnk the concern is that we wont be able to get to the Redzone if Joe has a bad day.

Honestly for me it is less of a concern and more of an oppertunity. I think we CAN run the ball better, and if we do the offense will be even more potent.

This is why no one can take you seriously.

Just be thankful, Slack, that Moffitt unlocked the Jugs machine instead of hiding it from the players this year like he used to do.

He was absolutely NOT inaccurate.

That said, people who think a QB will hit a WR on the number consistently at 40 yards, haven't watched enough film of the very best QBs.

He had an off game. Go back and watch however, he didnt throw many bad passes.

I predicted he would break the single season record during the summer while people were picking apart the Brady hire. Go watch his highlights vs Nebraska at OSU. His ball placement was perfection.

You can't discount the importance of Joe Brady. He has put Burrow in a system and position to succeed.

LSU is going to lock him up for sure as OC next season but if he has another successful many teams are going to be looking at him for a head job. When that happens Woody will be at a crossroads for the future of the program.

, dude had like the 2nd worst completion percentage of any LSU QB through the first few games of the season, yet everyone knew he was capable of this kind of season back then? Give me a break man.

And unfortunately for you, this is the only way you judge a QB.

It turns out you were wrong.
