As usual, you're entertaining

He's not even the OC, and you've been pushing him into the HC position all day.

It's not the only way at all. I understand the context too.

If you watched Burrow through 8 games last year and thought this kind of passing offense was possible in less than a year, you were crazy. Ultimately you were lucky and right, but it still makes it crazy. It's not based in any logic.

Burrow had a much better end to the season, so I can understand the optimism there. However, when I was making the Etling numbers comparison, he was woeful. Objectively below average.

You can't discount the importance of Joe Brady. He has put Burrow in a system and position to succeed.
Brady installed the system that E&O promised the Burrow's when he first visited LSU - the trip that convinced Burrow to sign.

Took a little longer than expected, but is solid now and everyone is happy

Not at all. Go watch his OSU film. He's extremely accurate.

And he has done it quickly. A program doesn't let talent like that slip away.

YOU couldn't see it. We get that. But that does not preclude others with some specialized knowledge to see it clearly.

It is not an insult to your manhood that some guys know more about some things than you do. You very likely know more about some other things than they do.

Idiocy is claiming to know everything.

, was it the 11 attempts in mop up duty in 2017 or the 28 in 2016 that proved it?

Absolutely, and I'm serious when I say I'd rather be lucky and right than logical and wrong. Congratulations, this was a topic where I'm glad I was wrong.

Did you catch his mechanics & footwork in high school? (and competition has NOTHING to do with mechanics) It was elite.

Lots of film on him. An expert like you certainly reviewed it all... right?

RZ rushing TDs is not a good gauge of a team’s ability to run the ball.

We heard for years that teams were stacking the box because LSU couldn’t pass and if they learned how to pass effectively that there would be running lanes.

The RBs ran for 3.5 ypc on plays that originated outside the NSU’s 5 yard line. 0-3 FCS NSU. Stating a fact isn’t “sky screaming”.

LSU is now a passing team. Very likely the best in the nation. Deal with it.

I knew he would be better than any QB we had in a long time when he audibled to a run away from the blitz in the 1st qtr of the Miami game...didn’t expect him to be this good but it was obvious he was light years ahead of most of our qbs in terms of knowledge and recognition

Click on "red zone scores" on the linked chart - LSU has 21 - the next closest teams are Georgia, Oklahoma, and Wash St all are tied with 16 red zone scores.

The more interesting stat from that link is that LSU leads the FBS in red zone drives with 21!!

Close enough.

And congrats. You now have the QB (and the WRs). And with a few good bounces of the football, you have a solid shot at a Natty.

I don't think Judging JB on the first half of last season and projecting that forward is necessarily logical. Stats are always just part of the equation.

Stats have never been the tell all when it comes to talent. He's got a hell of a lot of intangibles, plus his work at OSU to stand on as well.

Be honest - has this start exceeded your wildest expectations of Burrow? This is an outlier for everyone except Buckeye Jeaux.

I am not surprised. He flashed this last year. Go back and read exactly what I told you and LSU pride when y’all started bringing up Etling
