Craziest thing about that play is I can't remember the last time I saw a college catcher scoop one on such a long low hop

Biggest mistake was having such a lead that he couldn’t make it back to third. He had to commit, but he should’ve been basically standing on the base. It’s first and third with no outs. You’re not going home on anything that doesn’t get through, period.
