What is an Oklahoma Sooner? A Sooner refers to a person who settled in the Oklahoma Territory before the official opening of the land for settlement in 1889, essentially "jumping the gun" during the Land Run. So they are basically the Oklahoma Cheaters. Lets whoop some cheater butts!
