Yep. Just 3 - 4 bad ball/strike calls per inning can send a pitcher to the bench 2 innings earlier than it should.

Jordan had plenty of time to stop Milam after the bounce. He sent Milam as the ball was caught by the relay man.

Thats why they make the box so long. He should have been halfway down the line ready to hold Milam if it was played correctly.
He decided he was gambling either way, which is dumb.
