It’s NIL being used how it was designed by letter of the law.

Also smart by the state the most recognized people are going to be LSU football players. The lil bros are getting a piece as well

So where does it stop? Part of a bid on road construction now includes NIL to promote infrastructure growth in Louisiana?

EBT cards sponsored by the LSU offensive line to “promote healthy eating?”

Every Fishing License including a promotion fee that goes to NIL so they can “promote legal fishing”

Where is the line? It’s blatant corruption. This absolutely was not the intent of NIL.

Not for tech, ULM, or even Grambling
I mean as far as a small amount. Hell techs Davidson family bought there way into the Independence Bowl, go look at their 5wins and get back to me on the deserving of a Bowl game. They’ll car pool to the game and give out free tickets to anyone in the ear shot of Shreveport with a free tech shirt , All paid for by the Trucking company Billionaire. I wish LSU would have a Billionaire with such love for the school.

10 Million is a joke.
Either there should be nothing (very likely should be) or it should be at least 10x this based on the market size if there is a real issue.
And ~2-3% for anti-vaping campaign is also silly. What special project in a place no one knows that is paying some local "contractor" 6 million to do a $100,000 job is the real question in all of this.

Dude, what? They’re using $225k of a settlement for an anti vaping campaign. Probably targeted at college/high school students since they are a large portion of the vaping population. Get a grip

Not to mention I'd be surprised if at the end of the year, LSU athletics doesn't produce millions in tax revenue for the state of Louisiana. The state would be investing in something that actual brings ROI.

Having LSU be good and win titles makes the state money. So yes those sound fine, and they are better investments than whatever the money would be spent on other wise

The line is money not received from a settlement that was given to the university for the purpose of producing anti vaping messages.

As long as they aren't giving it to unknown recruits it would be on the level. LSU athletes are usually some of the most recognizable people in the State it makes sense.

Probably somewhere between this and the other 3 ridiculous scenarios you made up.

So I guess a swimmer will get a few NIL $ from this. Probably about $3.50.

Money from the settlement is being used to pay for anti-smoking/vaping PSAs.

They are using well-known people including college athletes in the PSAs.

They pay people to appear in these PSAs.

It is legal to pay athletes to appear in commercials under current NIL rules as long as the person paying is not the University they play for.

I know you are a little slow so I hope that helps
