Yes he may be the richest, but I think there are plenty that are more invested than he is.
Holden Spaht
Scott Ballard
Pepper Rutland
EJ Kuiper (OLOL)
Ben Bordelon
Gordon? (Probably a tier below)

Why not Britney Spears? She's from Kentwood and has at least a billion (or did have, at one time).

Solid list. I'll also add Tilman Fertitta Houston Rockets billionaire owner who's son recently graduated from LSU and just hosted CLK meeting with h-town area boosters

Yep, at the least Blake seems like he will be contributing.

How is this man that rich? Canes isn't even that good.

Blake Fertitta may be a booster, but Tillman basically bankrolls the University of Houston. Hell, his name is on the new basketball arena. Probably a decent supporter of Texas Tech also. If Tillman contributes to LSU, I wouldn't put it on par with the other big time boosters, probably minimal. I would say Richard Lipsey is a big time booster, but he's probably in the Gordon territory on contributions.

I don't think higher education is really that important to Britney.

I remember when he opened the little store in 1996ish outside the north gates of LSU. I stopped in and thought they were really good considering there wasn't anything else out there offering good tenders. I thought to myself, "this place might make here at the north gate". I also remember a joint around the corner called "Mother Cluckers". I don't think it lasted all that long.
Canes is better than Zaxby's and Bojangles. Those places have more options but I think having a simple menu is what makes the money. The cole slaw hits too!

I would add Richard Lipsey to that list.
His primary assets are held in private companies so his exact personal net worth is not publicly disclosed. However, his wealth is definitely substantial and he's a big donor to LSU.
