Arkansas LSU Series
Posted by klundq02 on 3/14/12 at 9:59 pm
I am curious what most people who keep up with baseball think about this series. Arkansas hasn't had many road test, but we did beat Texas on a neutral field in Houston, LSU has had some tough games against who appears to be a formidable opponent in App State, but has lost a couple they should have probably won. Is this a down year for LSU or are they just having trouble hitting a grove? I honestly don't know much about the team, but know that no win at the Box comes easily...thoughts?

Not gonna happen...Bax and Stanek are going to shut down the Tigers and our bullpen will shut you down on Sunday

Great job! You can hit against a very mediocre team.
Probably better for them they got their game tonight cancelled...

Can't say I'm surprised everyone is happy about it. Afraid to see your tigers add another to the loss column.
This is the most ignorant post I've ever read on this site ever. Poor state? Poor economy? Do you know anything about Arkansas?? Sure there are parts of every state that don't have a thriving economoy especially in today's society. But to think that LSU will get a bid over Arkansas because of these two factors is just plain stupid. LSU had a good year and won a ton of close games, but as previously stated Arkansas has the heads up win over you guys so just accept the fact that you will be playing in Arlington in January not New Orleans.
Isn't Dozar the guy that hit the walk-off against Bama??
It is just like the Arkansas series you guys had against us last year, except this time the weather is going to end up hurting you all...I hope you get your games in. In a double-header will they try to play shortened games or still try to play a full 9?
Assuming they can maintain a 10-1 lead heading into bottom of 8th

I'm okay losing a series to LSU so long as we can win other series, like the sweep we have in the works against Miss St. Eibner just hit Grand Slam and Hogs should should have 1st place in West for at least this week.
You guys enjoy another loss and see you in a couple weeks at your place. If any of your fans bother to show up

Maybe he stopped because he had the scholarship golfer on the court scoring points.

Yeah, he quit. His players are still on the court. If I was a player what do you do if my coach is sitting on the bench with his face in his hands.
Just ask a question. You all on here are talking very highly of him. I don't follow LSU basketball much and don't know much about it. It just seems a coach shouldn't stop at halftime if his team can't do the same
If you have any sort of reasoning for this I would love to hear it...I have been very hard on Pel, but it seems with Fortson back we might actually be on track to accomplish something.

I just have never seen a coach sit and not do anything in a basketball game. We sucked last year, never saw Pel sitting and not doing anything...just seems like if this coach is as good as you all claim, he wouldn't stop coaching. Which he has obviously done in this game.

Just one question,
why is your coach sitting in his chair arms crossed and not doing anything??

I am aware of what the score was, trust me I don't need another reminder. However, the radio broadcast said that the third base coach was sending him home, but Mitchell stopped despite being sent.
Question and Congratulations from Fayetteville

I know from looking around your board occasionally there seems to be mixed feelings about Jared Mitchell. If this is inaccurate please let me know. I just noticed today when listening to the game (as a Hog fan, I couldn't watch the beat down any longer and had other stuff to do) Mitchell somehow did not score on a double to the wall. Does this happen occasionally or what is the deal? Did he get careless and just not pay attention or is this a recurring problem. I also noticed he was replaced in the outfield in the next inning, coach must not have liked his "effort" much.
I also wanted to wish you guys luck in the championship series. After the Arkansas game(s) your Tigers better kill Texas next week or I will be very disappointed. With that said, good luck and can someone please shed light on Mitchell.

You are wrong, lol. Granted I don't have much room to talk and my team is gone your understanding is very inaccurate. LSU plays a best 2 out of 3 series against Texas for the National Championship
