If we can field a decent defense this coming season, we have the offense to win at least 9 games

God Bless the Portal and NIL.
I suggest we leave every spot open through the spring. Raise and advertise that we have a ton of NIL money and then put the 5* portal transfers on a one year NIL contingency contract. Can't hold anyone accountable for a scholarship but a NIL employer sure can.
Play the game at another level

Based on 1 stand out year? Yea he's a good athlete, but besides 2019, does he stand out really?
Yes.

O ran this ship into the ground over the years. It will take that to rebuild and I’m ok with it.

And considering O’s method and me-first message, I’m glad they’re going. Let’s get guys that want to play for the team out there
Definitely. Leaving to begin their pro careers. Clearly a bunch of pieces of shite that we don’t want on this team anyway.
Reading the garbage y’all idiots spew it sounds like y’all would rather be a trash program with players who suck but stick around 6 years cause they love the program so much over talented guys who are good enough to go pro after 3 years.

They probably don't want to transfer for a yeay and may not want to fit in to BK culture.
The frick are y’all talking about with this shite? You think Kelly will only recruit Christian choir boys or some shite? He will go after the same top players Orgeron and everyone else goes after. Him and his staff just might coach them up better and have a more stable program.

They won’t like this, but it’s absolutely true.
Most of the finger pointers about “quitting,” or some other shite they don’t understand is because they want us to field a team like we saw Tuesday so we can pat ourselves on the back because we “have heart,” and that’s all that matters.
Winning took away the righteousness of the struggle and I see a lot of folks actually happy the struggle is back.

He better save his money because that second contract won’t be near what he thinks it will be, if he even makes it that far
Yeah, he pissed off LSU fans so y’all think and hope and pray his career tanks.

Trust me, I’m very aware most of what I say on this site puts me in the minority.

These kids are going to get hard life lesson when they dont make an NFl roster. Most could have come back to improve draft stock but i guess the grass is always greener in their heads.
Imagine working for 2 years at a miserable job under poor leadership and you can’t wait to leave.
Then you have that opportunity and you’re just about to finally shake off all the negativity and walk out the door when someone says “wait- We got a new boss that is going to turn everything around.”
I imagine staying seems more intriguing upon hearing that, but then you look around again, and everything still looks the same. The room is the same room you couldn’t wait to leave 5 seconds ago. It absolutely makes sense that these players have weighed their options and in the end decided there was a reason they wanted to leave in the first place.
Sometimes you just need a new start, and the NFL gives them that out. It’s worth the risk in order to finally close a disappointing chapter in your life.

Weed out the O loyalist and quitters. With any management change, you keep the people interested in working. You don't beg the malcontents, you weed them out.
It's everyone's choice to stay or go with no hard feelings. If in doubt get on out.
Time to create the team in his image and retain those players who say, “We’re fighting Tigers. We ain’t about to back down from nobody. If we got 11 we’re going to play.”

Very mature statement.
It won’t be popular.

Dude... obviously some will be drafted. However, this year there are more than I can remember that will likely go undrafted. I'd say possibly 3 or 4.
FFS. I don’t know why my post was so hard to understand. When OP started this thread, we only had 5 players with remaining eligibility who had declared:
- Stingley
- Clark
- Ingram*
- Flott
- TDP
*Ingram hadn’t technically “declared” but it was obvious since he had accepted a Senior Bowl invite.
OP said most of them would go undrafted. I said he was full of shite. Does that mean I think TDP and Flott should go pro? No.
It’s just exhausting seeing everyone talk about how the sky is falling without even knowing what the frick they are talking about. Multiple people have bitched about Cam Lewis declaring for the draft when he doesn’t even have any fricking eligibility left.
Someone told me that “history” suggested these guys would go undrafted when, in fact, if he had bothered to check before posting he would know that the vast majority of LSU’s early entrants DO get drafted.
Ed Ingram, Damone Clark, and Avery Atkins (who announced he is leaving after OP started this thread) are seniors who wouldn’t have eligibility left if not for the free year in 2020. We only have three juniors who have declared so far - Stingley, Flott, and TDP. So at what point does it turn into fans just being unreasonable? 4 years and a degree isn’t enough anymore? Now we expect them to stay indefinitely just because the NCAA gave them an extra year?
Our roster situation sucks but it’s not because of TDP and Flott declaring for the draft. It’s because the roster has been completely mismanaged for 3-4 years and we’ve lost like a third of our HS recruits to either transfers or off the field issues.

I don't think the sky is falling. I simply think at least 4 that could come back, won't get drafted. Jmo. You ok?

Yeah, you have to think tampering with a drug test is a pretty big red flag for NFL GM’s.
That would barely be a blip on the radar for a GM with his talent. He went late because there was only one year of tape on him.

You might not, but if you look around this place it’s not hard to come to that conclusion.

I don’t know how anyone can come to this conclusion. Stingley is getting drafted. Clark is getting drafted. Ingram is getting drafted unless he bombs his interviews (which, TBH, would be the case next year as well). Even then somebody will probably take a late flyer on him. That leaves Flott and TDP.
Who else has declared that has remaining eligibility? Unless you’re counting Avery Atkins, which feels a bit disingenuous.
