McMahon isn't the reason for the mass exodus of LSU talent. They don't know him from Adam's off-ox.

It's the current instability of the program, and impending probation, that showed the 2022 team the collective door. Woodward should have told the team "sit yourselves down" and calmly addressed the team immediately following the firing of Wade. This coming season would have a much different outlook.

The only significant contributing player left from last years team was Days and look how quickly Wade built a team. If Wade could do it, McMahon can do it.

But didn't people realize this could happen now with the new rules. It's crap now for college sports. The fan is getting hijacked, but who worries about the fans anymore. We are just pawns in the game. The sport will never be the same wit the players and the fans. But boy will those dollar bills be flying .

They sadly all had to go.

I do think we picked up an even better coach and that we will compete right out of the gates. Thank you Transfer Portal.

I mean, you're not wrong. Following Dale, we self-imposed a pretty significant probation which was added to by the NCAA. The team we fielded Brady's first year was a joke and we had scholarship restrictions and a post-season ban early on.

Honestly. the roster we will have this upcoming year will be better than that roster Brady's first year and we won the SEC and went to the Sweet 16 in Brady's third year.

I'm not necessarily in lock step with how Woodward's handled all of this but I think we have a good coach and if he can recruit I think the idea that we're fricked for the next 5 years is short sighted and obtuse.

You do realize lsu isn’t getting any 5 stars right? So them being able to play minutes means nothing since there won’t be any on the team.

You think Woodward sitting these players down would have stopped them from transferring? They most likely have very bad feelings towards Woodward since he fired the coach they all loved.

At least coach doesn’t have to worry about players talking about how it used to be, and pushing back on the new coaching plan.

You can rebuild in one year but it wouldn’t surprise me it will take 2-3 years.

There are 1000 available players in the portal....

In basketball, you don't even need to recruit high schoolers anymore, you can make a living at the TP.

Some departing coaches give their teams pep talks to accept and work hard for the university and the new coach.

Have we heard that Wade did that with his team? I'm not suggesting anything, just curious.

I read somewhere that the AD and Tate both met with the team within 24 hours after the firing after the firing

I'm honestly not too been out of shape. Lost post players that were too soft to play the post and a bunch of guards that preferred one on one play to team basketball. The whole program needed a reboot as their consistency has been all over the place the last few years.
