What do you mean the Ms state loss shouldn't have happened? They beat us by 30. We were in no way or shape able to beat them at that point in the season.

Well for one. LSU last season was the best team ever. They were undefeated and won it all.

They then had five or six players from that team that now START in the NFL.

LSU this season has played 20+ freshmen.

LSU started out by beating ranked SEC teams both on the road and at home. The last two weekends they have lost to MS State and Troy.

LSU is trending down.

You can argue that they have played 20+ freshmen and list all the players from last year's greatest team EVER who now start in the NFL, but it doesn't matter.

If an idiot had expectations of LSU going 11-1 or better and it doesn't happen, then it is all on the LSU football program not the stupidly ridiculous expectations.

Hypotheticals of what could've been are irrelevant. If we finish 9-3 with a decent bowl game and a potential at a 10-win season, I will be very pleased and hopeful considering how the season started.

Very happy considering the start and the youth/depth issues. Rarely there are first year coaches that don't have first year issues. O''s was a little different because he had been there but that has challenges to. We need to keep the faith and move past the tough losses. The Msu was just a weird night (full moon lol) and the troy loss was a good sunbelt team coming in. The same team took it to Clemson year before. Lsu players were down and a new not too seasoned HC panick a little with freshman oline and a struggling offense. Coaches have to grow as well. He admitted his mistake and stepped away from the offense. What I've noticed lately esp last night was the little things that make teams better and disciplined. For one our offense is finally settling in and comfortable with the scheme. Better ST's, more energy and the younger players growing up. I have hope again. Get to 9 or 10 with Canada offense improving and recruiting will be in good shape. I like next years team coming off 9-10'wins. I really do. Fehoko Moss Giles Shelvin Lowell & Myles waiting in the wings. I'm excited again and thays better than how I felt after state and troy. Sorry so long

Not sure how you turn the MSU loss into a should have won. More like we should have been 10-2 and one of the few teams who can lose as many starters as we did and return the next year with an improved record.

Fun fact, there wasn't a single team in 2015 who returned less than 14 starters, like LSU, and had a better record the following year.

Anything short of a 9-win reg. season is a disappointment.

We should absolutely manhandle Arky, Tenn and A&M if the coaches do their job.

A loss to any of them will cancel out the last three weeks. As fans, we should expect this and be angry if it doesn't happen. 10 wins, counting a bowl victory, should be the expectation at this point.

Let's recap here.

An idiot who knew what LSU lost to the NFL draft since it happened in April and all of the defections of the O-line during the summer, some how comes up with the most ridiculous prediction of LSU going 11-1.

Said idiot, now starts a thread bitching because he is an idiot and LSU with all the losses of starters in and to the NFL and attrition is not undefeated right now.

Amazing !!!

WTF? It’s the rules. Guys can’t stay in college forever. Good teams send people to the pros every year. So what? Bama had more guys drafted, and higher, than we did. They are undefeated and ranked #1.

Would we prefer the 3 losses to be bama, Auburn, Florida or bama, Troy, miss state?
The latter. We lost to two bad teams early but beat two better teams later. One of the wins was to a top ten team.

Give me the big wins later in the season. The record is the same either way, but this way I have MUCH more important wins later in the season.

Not when 1 of the losses was getting our poo pushed in by Miss St and another at home to fricking TROY!

But Jimbo and Herman are having worse seasons and NegaTigers were WRONG so it's totatally cool.

LSU fans were ripped off. How can a team who lost 5 or 6 players who now start in the NFL not be 14-0 or 15-0? WTF???

Alabama lost more guys and are currently ranked #1. 2 years ago Ohio State had 10 guys drafted in the first 3 rounds and went 11-2 after losing to the eventual National Champs in the playoffs . And do explain why it's acceptable to lose to Troy given the vast difference in talent?

Most of you who are saying you'd be happy with 9-3 are saying that because your expectations were immediately lowered after the loss to Troy. Orgeron should NOT be rewarded for losing that game by getting a pass for the rest of the year. It doesn't matter how many players we lost to the NFL, we should not have lost that game. This is why we are going to get very little love in the polls regardless of how we do going forward.

I wouldn't expect any new coach at LSU to beat Bama his first year or do any thing in the playoffs. Even Saban would need 2+years to get there. But I sure as hell would expect him to beat Troy with this team and maybe Miss St. too.
