I looked back at their schedule and Miami played 2 teams that were in the top 10 when they played them and only one ended up in the top ten at the end of the year. That was Florida at 3 and Florida State finished at 15. I can see why they averaged 42 a game. Weak schedule. So the lovers of certain teams get to call what they think they saw. That's ok. Respect comes in different forms so they get more then the real top team.

I was more upset that they included 2003 USC.

I don't agree with 2004 USC being ahead of LSU but I think being in the company of 1995 Nebraska and 2001 Miami is something to be proud of.

We were more accomplished than anyone else. And Burrow was much better than Leinhart, Travis, and Dorsey.

Are they high? 2019 LSU would beat every last one of them

Burrow already is the better QB than Ken Dorsey.

Edwards-Helaire is going to be a good NFL RB but you have to realize the 2001 Miami team had all of these RBs:

Clinton Portis
Willis McGahee
Frank Gore
Najeh Davenport

LSU has the edge at WR with Andre Johnson being a great WR but Chase, Jefferson and Marshall are a better trio than what 2001 Miami had.

TE edge goes to Miami. Shockey and Winslow had solid NFL careers.

DBs: Ed Reed is arguably one of the best safetys to ever play the game and is a hall of famer.

LSU had some great DBs on that 2019 team but only time will tell if any are going to be in canton.

Patrick Queen and Derek Stingley may be the tie breakers.

Maybe. Ed Reed is arguably a top 5 Safety of all-time. Only time will tell.

Clear bias. LSU would have absolutely destroyed any of the other teams listed.

The article says the 2005 usc team is better than the 2004 usc team but lost to the 2005 texas team who is ranked behind the 2004 usc team. Media

There are many other lists that have the 2005 UT team in the top 5 of all time.
The USC suck fest is real.

Isn't Yardbarker one of those clown fan blog sites like Bourbon St. Shots, One Team One Podcast, etc? You know, the ones where fans like us write articles pretending to be super cool analysts or insiders. Besides...meet the author:

At least they ranked 2003 LSU above 2003 USC.

How did a middle-of-nowhere school like Nebraska ever get to their level of dominance?

Are you kidding.................?

They were in the Big 8, which during the 1980s and some of the 1990s was the best conference. Being in the Big 8 gave them access to talent in the state of Texas, and they also had a pipeline from California. Additionally, at the time, they had THE BEST strength program in all of college football. Their games against Barry Switzer's Oklahoma teams were all out WARS. I'd put 1995 Nebraska against any teams I've seen for the last 40 years. They may or may not beat everyone, but they wouldn't be blown out by ANYONE.

The USC one us bullcrap. But those Miami and Nebraska teams were considered top 2 before 2019 LSU played a snap. Honestly no problem with anyone going with them as this is opinion based. Personally I think we would have beaten both of them.

Those Top 4-5 teams they’ve ranked are all pretty close - legendary.

Without looking at everyone’s schedule, I would say LSU played the toughest schedule of the teams listed….

And as others have stated below - the legend of the 2019 team will grow as their nfl success grows. And there will be a few more players drafted in this up coming draft that played on that team.

But really…. Who cares? It’s an opinion.

2011 Bama is top 5 and they have them outside of the top 10. Crap list.
