losing Aranda makes that first part about the defense tougher to pull off now.
I don’t buy that. We lose a very good DC and replace him with a very good DC. What’s tough about that?
Also, Shelvin and Stevens were big retentions, but so was Deculus. I think that guy could have gone.

Jesus Texas is "Back" again? I guess if they keep saying that it will happen one year and they'll say "see I told ya". They beat a Georgia team that didn't want to be their regardless of who they were playing. Can't wait to say Welcome To Death Valley!

I mean, we are losing a lot and some replacement coaches haven't been hired yet. I have no idea what's in store for us next year.
I work with a Texas fan, and I know full well they could beat us next year, but I just smile and say that this year was a great year.

I think that our defense will be a bigger question mark than our offense will be next year. I am sure that we will keep the same offensive playbook etc but a new DC could take a bit to get settled in and we are losing a lot there as well. Freshmen will have to do some stepping up.

Oh this melt is gonna be so sweet...and sad
That's a long flight back to Austin to think about your delusion and wake up call.

I hope they put their fans and their band in the nose bleed section... payback

In Death Valley, as long as Brennan is above average, Chase, Marshall, Curry, and Emery will take care of the rest. Tigers by 17

Our SEC defense will be swarming to the ball at home like nothing their players have seen.

A few keyboard cowboys type something. Yes, all Texas fans think that way. OK. Don't make this place a twitter sewer.

LSU should have the talent advantage but hiring the right DC will be crucial for next season.

Sam Ehlinger Lucked out and played our early season sub par defense. The real Chinese Bandits will be in the real Death Valley where Texas’ dream of a comeback will die.
And I understand as gracious host we will make sure the a/c is in perfect working order.
Unfortunately, the thermostat will be stuck on 99 and the heater will also be in perfect working order.

According to what Verge Ausberry said after the game this year, LSU will reciprocate the seating arrangements when they visit Tiger Stadium. Their fans and band will be seated in the east upper deck.

You are correct, however our Defense could be special. The toughest loss are the 2 ILB Queen & Phillips, however we will put an ultra talented team on the field.
Defense:
DT Logan-Cherry-Thomas
NG Shelvin-Ika- Guillory (very strong!)
DT Ferrell-Roy (too good will be 2nd string or even starter)-Gaye from JC
ILB- Clark-Devonte Lee (moves here)-White
ILB- Baskerville-Starks-Sampah (may be too good and push starters)
OLB- Webb (starts he is too good)-Moore-Anthony-Little
OLB- Thorton-Ojulari-Parker
CB- Stingley-Flott-Jones
CB- Ricks-Vincent-Ward-McGlothern
Safety-Hampton (Stud)-Harris-Lewis
Safety- Stevens-Brooks-Toles
Nickel- Vincent
About departures:
Chaisson was good but never got to what his potential was. He was fast but new to football and did not get enough sacks. Webb and Ojulari are much better out of high school and Webb is an another level. They will come in and give us the edge pressure we always needed. I also think we will be more athletic. Case in point, our All American safety under performed and looked slow as shite on that reverse touchdown and took a terrible angle. Hampton was just as good or better than Delpit (Yes I said it, but it showed on the field)
Our DL will be MUCH STRONGER. Roy and Gaye off the bench are better than last years bench players, and Guillory backing Shelvin and Ika- WOW... Best 3 NG on one team in all college.
With a good hire at DC and someone who rushes more than Aranda because he will have some horses on the edges, yet can play a solid base defense with a few wrinkles, we will be a top 10-15 defense and I think will allow under 20 per game next year. Hoping for 17-18 PPG allowed

I don't see where they are saying anything disrespectful...just maybe overestimating a bit how good their team will be next year.

quote:All kidding aside, I heard somebody affiliated with LSU on the radio (I came in right when he was saying this and never caught his name) saying that they WILL give them the same treatment back. Now, whether or not they go through with that remains to be seen, but I hope we do. That was a chickenshit move if I've ever known one.
I hope they put their fans and their band in the nose bleed section... payback
That was the equivalent of inviting people over to your house and cooking steaks for only members of your immediate family, and serving ham sandwiches to all other guests.

I feel more confident this game at home than I did 2nd game of this season when I wasn’t completely sure what we had. I’m completely on board with this program.

Sam Ehlinger is a tremendous athlete.
But Myles is gonna smoke him. And I really believe that.
Have to give the edge to Texas for QB, but no team has more talent ar WR than LSU.
It'll be interesting.

What do you call a pair of boots sitting over in the corner with a cowboy hat on top of them?...... A Texan with all the shite kicked out of him!

This was my favorite on that thread
"Well, put this way - we would have beaten them here this past year, if not for Burrow's Hail Mary Offense. So ..."
How deluded 1. To think they had a shot at winning this past year, and 2. That the LSU offense was a "Hail Mary Offense". Joe didn't throw Hail Marys, he throws deep accurate passes with touch, and places them where only his receiver can catch them. Joe's passing game is the antithesis of "Hail Mary"
