After spending $3K+ to watch the shitshow at Lambeau last year, you tend to believe anything is possible.

BYU claims at least one P5 scalp almost every year and they're not just the crummy programs.

Off the top of my head, they've beaten Nebraska, Texas, Boise and Oklahoma in the last decade. Most, if not all those teams were ranked and likely perceived a talent advantage, too.

I'll just say I'd rather not see BYU hanging around in the 4th qtr.

How'd you get this observation? Guy hasn't even coached a game here yet.

BYU is tough for 2 reasons

Old arse grown men on their team each every year, 23 and 24 year old starters is the norm for them.

Islanders, they almost all have a mean streak and can push folks around, especially considering once again, you're talking about a lot of 23-24 year olds vs. 19-21 year olds

Mangum will be a huge test for our new secondary right off the bat.

LSU is favored for a reason, better players, coaches, and staff. It will also practically be a home game. I would still be slightly cautious about your confidence. There is something to be said about openers and news coaches, and BYU is a good team. Sometimes you just don't know how a team will respond to certain situations. I realize CEO was head coaches for 6 games or so, but he was pretty much playing with house money. That being said I see a score along the lines of 31-17 Tigers

They didn't beat anyone last year with a winning record sans the bowl game and Toledo. They lost their 1400 yard RB and all time leading rusher. Also lost their top 3 WR. We should smoke these guys.

Another one that missed the Florida game last year

This. Typical ranter- unbridled exuberance followed by irrational negativity when we win by a single score. Round and round we go.

At this point I think we shouldn't be expecting ANY cakewalks until we at least play a few games. Way too many variables to be out strutting like the cockofthewalk. BYU has put some stellar players in the NFL and aren't to be taken lightly.

Honestly, even if we were playing the Beijing Middle school on their first game ever, I'd still not want to go in thinking like it was a giveme. I have good feelings and high hopes on the season but let's see before we start chest thumping.

You've obviously never watched us play down to the level of our competition. We have mastered that art in years past.

Hmmm... what's different this year than years' past?
