We’re going to blame the federal lawsuit and the fact that the SEC is refusing to confirm that they will not try to punish us down the line, including by appealing the state court decision.
I can’t imagine they will roster the players if there’s even a 1% chance this goes sideways and ends with the SEC being able to punish us.

Attorneys giving their summation. Players attorneys going first. He's laying out examples of players who have played professionally and earned up to 1.1 million in basketball and the NCAA still allowed them to come back and play. Also going over players who have played football for more than 5 years. Reviewing redshirt rules and medical redshirts that have played more than 5 years.

There is NO court order ordering LSU roster or play any player.

There will be a court order protecting them shortly. They can play them and roster them until something changes.

That very same “protecting” order would also be up on appeal. Are we risking that too?
Jorden can literally say “the plaintiffs win and even if appeals courts overturn the injunction absolutely no penalty can ever be levied on LSU for acting lawfully in the mean time” and have that in the written order….and an appeals court can just overturn that too if the overrule the injunction.
You don’t seem to get it. There is NO POSSIBLE situation where LSU can roster or play these guys for the foreseeable future without risking penalties, etc being retroactively applied.

Attorney says the sec has never gone away from the NCAA on eligibility and shouldn't be able to do it now.
Also says that if an sec school can't control their fans, and the fans storm the field, then the school gets fined. Therefore, if the sec can't follow an order from the judge then the sec should get fined.
